The Senate Stalled on SAVE America. But Conservative State Lawmakers Aren’t Waiting Around.
At the @SFC_Network annual summit I spoke with state lawmakers from across the country who are fighting to pass voter ID and election integrity laws in their state capitals.
Rep. Keith Self told @DailySignal that “the states have to take action.” As one of the keynote speakers he explained to the attendees how difficult it is to pass federal law and the importance of working in the state. “Do what you can to secure your own elections, because that’s the way the Constitution is written. Use every tool you have,” he concluded.
President of the State Freedom Caucus Network @andyroth told @DailySignal about some of the challenges he has seen state lawmakers face including the swamp controlling the voting agenda and the unlikelihood of it ever passing in blue states.
While everyone I spoke with agreed that legislation is still needed at the federal level, pushing state legislation is where that starts.

What an evening for @MOFreedomCaucus at the Third Annual @SFC_Network Summit! I was incredibly honored to receive the 2026 Best Lawmaker Award. Wow- just to be nominated alongside rockstar FC members from across America was such a shock and a serious honor because these men and women are fighting in the lions den on a daily basis to preserve our republic.
Then the MOFC received the Best State Freedom Caucus award for cutting $4.2 billion from our budget, banning sharia law, passing a slough of public safety bills, tackling redistricting, and so many other priorities! I am the most proud of my MOFC brothers and sisters for conservative promises delivered to the Governors desk as well as the many tyrannical pieces of legislation we never let see the light of day!
Now let’s prepare for an even better year in 2027 where liberty will prevail

🚨 EFFINGHAM COUNTY DATA CENTER
Following public outrage, one of the Effingham County Commissioners, who has supported the new data center, said during this week's commission meeting, "I should have done something different," when referring to the county secretly working behind the scenes to build a massive data center.
Residents are, of course, concerned about public infrastructure being able to handle it and the effect it will have on the community. Despite the county manager saying, "this would not require a tremendous amount of water for cooling the data center," a University of Georgia analysis says it will take at least 57 million gallons of water per day to power and cool the data center.
Secretive deals like this are wrong. What is also quite problematic, however, is that it seems clear the county is not prepared for the impact this data center could have on public infrastructure.
If a data center is going to be constructed, the public infrastructure should be required to exist prior to the building thereof. The residents should not be forced to suffer for a lack of planning, nor should they be forced to subsidize this trillion dollar company while dealing with the residual effects of Bidenflation.
These commissioners are receiving a lot of anger from their constituents for this decision. All elected officials throughout the state should take note.

🚨 Anti-School Choice Ballot Measure In Arizona OFFICIALLY DEAD
School Choice families once again have full certainty that Arizona’s ESA program is safe from the far-Left extremists trying to force their children back into failing district schools.
But the defeat of this measure shouldn’t surprise anyone. Some of us knew it would be defeated, publicly argued it would be defeated, and voted with the confidence that it would be defeated.
I am proud to have been the only Senate Republican that voted to kill the crappy Mitch McConnell-style “deal” proposed by Arizona’s establishment House Speaker at the behest of American Federation of Children (who his sister works for).
Make no mistake, the establishment Speaker’s “deal” was for legislative Republicans to cave to the extreme Left by adding new regulations on our state’s very popular and very accountable Empowerment Scholarship Accounts program.
That’s not a good deal.
Huge shoutout to Goldwater Institute and Arizona Free Enterprise Club for their legal and strategy work leading the petition challenge.
Huge shoutout to all of the school choice advocates, families and grassroots who have been earnestly praying for the challenge.
Huge shoutout to members of the Arizona Freedom Caucus' House members, and our handful of allies in the House, who would have held the line and voted NO on the Establishment Speaker’s crappy DC-style “deal” if it had made it out of the Senate.
Great work to everyone who held the line and actually helped protect school choice.
Arizona ESA students are one step closer to being fully protected.

🔵 Far-Left extremists tried to get a measure on the ballot to force 100,000+ Arizona children back into failing goverment-run schools.
🔵 Arizona's Establishment House Speaker cut a backroom DC-style "deal" with the socialists to regulate the ESA program (Democrat-lite regulations) in exchange for the ballot measure disappearing
🔴 I voted to protect ESA families from the Establishment Speaker's crappy deal with far-Left extremists and socialists because they never negotiate unless they're in a position of extreme weakness
🔴 The Goldwater Institute, Arizona Free Enterprise Club and a couple of other grassroots groups have sued to get the anti-ESA ballot measure thrown off the ballot due to fraud, felon circulators, and tens of thousands of duplicate signatures.
This past week we did have a great victory at the trial court level. The trial court was sane enough to know that Arizona can't let 25k duplicate signatures be used for the purposes of qualifying for the ballot.
🔵 Unfortunately, an out of state "school choice" group, pathetically trying to save face after blowing $7M donor dollars in a moronic attempt to get Republicans to regulate school choice (Democrat-lite), jumped the gun with a press release claiming full victory, when we haven't actually won yet.
STATUS:
School choice families in Arizona have tremendous reason to be joyful about today's court ruling.
I believe we will prevail in this challenge once the Supreme Court rules.
I believe this as strongly today as I did the day that I argued we would win on signature challenge to my colleagues in the Arizona Senate and House.
For now my recommendation to everyone is stop listening to out of state "school choice" groups who don't care about you and are simply trying to steal the spotlight so they can dupe some more donors out of millions.
Today we celebrate, but we must continue to pray for the outcome at the Supreme Court as well.
