Doe, the June 2026 decision that says courts generally cannot second-guess a TPS termination. 📜 TPS was written as temporary. Venezuela was designated in 2021 because of conditions under Maduro, then extended again in January 2025 through October 2026. The new administration moved to end that designation. Lower courts said no. The high court has now wiped out that block. 🏛️ That is the point a lot of headlines skip. Congress built TPS as a pause, not a back door to permanent status. When the emergency that justified it no longer controls the decision, the Secretary of Homeland Security gets to end it, and judges do not get a veto on the policy call.
