Some of the evidence clinicians need most sits in specialty society journals that few outside the specialty ever see.
We've signed an agreement with @Sage_Publishing to bring peer-reviewed research from more than 300 Sage journals into OpenEvidence, including titles from societies in sports medicine, stroke, headache, anesthesia, and diabetes care. As that content comes onto the platform, every answer it informs will cite and link back to the original article.

Some of them:
📍HFrEF now includes LVEF <50%; HFmrEF has been removed
📍HFpEF is defined as LVEF ≥50%
📍“Acute HF” becomes “decompensated HF,” including acute or gradual deterioration requiring urgent treatment, even in an ambulatory setting
📍New treatment framework: Foundational Medical Therapy (FMT), Additional Medical Therapy (AMT) & Guideline-Directed Interventional Therapy (GDIT)
📍New decongestion strategy: urinary sodium-guided diuretic therapy may be considered (IIb B), while short-term acetazolamide or hydrochlorothiazide should be considered for persistent fluid overload despite loop diuretics (IIa B)
📍CRT recommendations remain broadly similar, but implantation may be planned earlier after FMT initiation
