The side of the bed I woke up on this morning then I remembered the story some stories friknthe Bible…
David was anointed king as a teenager yet he didn’t become king until about 15 years later. Between the promise and the fulfillment, he fought battles, lived in caves, ran from Saul, and endured years of waiting before he finally wore the crown (2 Samuel 5:4).
Then I remembered Joseph. God gave him dreams at 17, but those dreams didn’t come to pass until he was 30… a whole 13 years after oh.. You and I would have gave up on that promise.. the palace even came the pit, slavery, and prison (Genesis 37; Genesis 41:46).
Abraham was promised a son, yet he waited about 25 years before Isaac was born (Genesis 12:1–4; Genesis 21:1–5).
Moses knew he was called to deliver Israel, but he spent 40 years in the wilderness before God sent him back to Egypt (Exodus 2–3; Acts 7:23–30).
Go on YouTube and watch Apostle selman message about waiting period…he said something that has stayed with me: sometimes the waiting season isn’t God ignoring you.. It’s God preparing you. He knows that if He gives you certain blessings before you’re ready, you may not have the character, wisdom, or capacity to steward them well. So while you’re waiting, He may be shaping you spiritually, emotionally, financially, and in every area of your life.
Waiting doesn’t always mean God has said “no.” Sometimes it means He’s still working on you while He’s working on the promise.
“Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:3
Sometimes I doubt if prayers do work.
How can God be watching you go through so much troubles and not come through for you?
