It’s bittersweet. Thank you to Nikita, Matt, Ruslan, Pratyush, and everyone who built BWL with us through the ups and downs. To Thomas, Mark, Latif, Clay, Ali, and the rest of our investors: thank you for backing us and being in the trenches with us.
At Mecka, I’ll be working on robotics, RL environments, data, and robotic deployments for frontier research in physical AI.
If life is just hillclimbing and verifiers, I can’t think of a more ambitious hill to climb than getting AI to do useful work in the physical world, from manufacturing to science.
Super excited to work with @joshavata and @jasontheutopian , two young Canadian builders who are among the hardest-working, most humble founders I’ve met.

It’s probably as good as time as any to share two things that I’ve kept private:
1. When I was 31, the first point in my life when I moved from my overall net worth being negative into positive, my first order of business was to set up my first endowment at the University of Texas to pay forward the significant scholarship support I received as an undergrad.
NEW: No women's, gender and sexuality courses will count toward @UTAustin's core curriculum starting this spring
Courses on slavery, civil rights & Women and the Holocaust were also cut.
One prof called the cuts "blatant" viewpoint discrimination. More⬇️

I’m also reminded of a time in the fourth grade in Amarillo, Texas, when our teacher had posted an American Sign Language alphabet on the wall for the year.
My classmates and I started using it to communicate, and eventually the teacher got frustrated at our distractions (understandable).
In order to stop the distractions, he ripped the poster off the wall – not realizing that he’d actually been effective in teaching us the alphabet in ASL. We didn’t need that poster anymore.
Taking this curriculum away, or relegating it to the outside the core, does not eradicate the knowledge from students’ minds. They will find ways to understand how politics, gender, sexuality, and more are used to divide us – whether in the classroom or not.

I think there’s a lot of useful perspective here. Consumer founders + builders have to constantly leave Silicon Valley and become ethnographers to truly understand behaviors and attitudes outside of our bubble.
