So I guess this should serve as a warning to other dog owners so wanted to share: A few night's ago Charlie ran outside and started eating a lot of grass. We knew he had an upset stomach because he has eaten grass before to make himself throw up, but never to this extent. Part of me knew we should have stopped him from eating so much grass but I figured he would throw it up like past instances.
The next day he was fine throughout the day so we didn't think much of it. Except at night he started throwing up over and over again.
It turned out that the grass he ate to deal with his upset stomach had filled up his stomach and he couldn't get it out. The only solution at 3 am was to have emergency surgery to get it out. Luckily he's alright but has a long recovery ahead of him.
Please learn from my very costly error and don't let your dog eat too much grass.
I know yesterday’s update was that Charlie seemed alright, but unfortunately that turned out wrong.
We had to take him to the hospital overnight and he needed emergency surgery. He’s now recovering, but any prayers are really appreciated.
