Gulf Coast
First off the nerds aren’t thinking creatively enough. Second the primary objective is to fuck the rest of the world. Price at the pump is secondary. There are clear objectives for anyone actually paying attention. Escalate Iran. Regime change. Let them destroy whatever gulf infrastructure they can get their hands on. Kill every single person in the IRGC. From the sky. Indiscriminately. Just bomb and bomb some more. Use AI and drones to target. Europe panics. Asia panics. Beg for LNG exports. Meanwhile Ukraine keeps hitting Russian energy infra. Oopsie. Incredibly confusing times for the flag in bio crowd. Hit Canada with 100% tariffs. Excludes albertan energy from said tariffs. Emergency measures to ramp VZ supply. Takes time? Who cares, good enough to justify draining SPR to zero. Mail some checks. Tax some energy companies. Mail some more checks. Win midterms. Decouple from China. This isn’t rocket science folks.
A diesel export ban won’t help fix rising fuel prices. Here’s why. 👇🧵

FSD Sleeper Service.
Robotaxis won’t just kill short haul flights. Once you can sleep in them, they’ll cannibalize long routes too. Imagine getting into your Tesla in Austin at 10 PM, make the lie flat seat/bed comfortable, and going to sleep. While you sleep, the car drives, charges itself, and keeps going. You wake up at 9 AM in Aspen, refreshed. The key is perceived travel time. A 10-hour robotaxi trip where you sleep for 8 hours may feel shorter than a 3-hour flight that requires an Uber to the airport, arriving early, security, boarding, the flight, baggage claim, and another Uber. Autonomous cars won’t just compete with driving. They turn sleep into transportation.

Men: this only can continue to the extent we allow it to continue.
Boomer men are hiring young women to be their work harems and HR women are reading resumes like they’re on a dating app. What an absolute nightmare for any young men in the workplace or trying to get a job.

The late, great Scott Adams always cautioned - wisely - about mind reading, and while their most certainly is mind reading occurring in this post, it’s also one of the most coherent explanations I’ve heard. Worth a read while bearing in mind neither you nor I can read minds.
Lindsay Clancy did not hear voices. She just dealt with ordinary difficulties of being a parent in deranged way. I know how this works very well because I've gone through something similar with my girlfriend. Lindsay Clancy is an extremely neurotic person. She put herself in a position where she felt she had to be a control freak & it ended up making her extremely frustrated, then unhappy, then resentful to her children, who didn't conform to her micromanagement. Instead of chilling the fuck out, she escalated her resentment & started openly telling people she wanted to hurt her children. This is what happens when an angry, neurotic person doesn't get their way & won't back down. They internally escalate in their minds until they snap. She was basically putting a gun to the heads of her kids and telling everyone around her that she'd pull the trigger unless they solved her problems for her. But her problem was that she was a neurotic sociopath who could not handle that children could not conform to her absurd expectations. The only solution was for her to back down & accept that her personality was wrong & that she'd have to conform herself to the reality. But nobody checked her. Nobody fought her, or invalidated her, so her sick, twisted deviant mindset was like a runaway train headed for a clash with reality. And the only possible outcomes were that she'd "lose" & back down, or she'd have to escalate to overt violence just as she was threatening for months. If you keep telling yourself "if that MF does that shit one more time, I'm gonna!!!" over and over for months, you work yourself into a state where you feel psychically committed to violence & like the biggest loser in the world if you back down. This is what was happening in her mind. She responded to normal kids clashing with her neurosis with deranged mental escalation. It got out of her control. By December she was at her breaking point & open about harming the kids. She started and stopped & did not take as directed a bunch of different psychiatric medications looking for a quick fix (which they aren't) for a problem that was entirely based on her personality for which the only solution was for her to chill TF out. But her evil thoughts & mindset were dominant by this point & her weaker side was looking for a way out. >January 16: Amitriptyline prescribed. She reported having to force herself out of bed. Flat, depressed affect. By mid January she had a depressive episode where she "gave up". Her internal struggle between her violent, aggressive neurotic side & her weaker socialized self was over. Her socialized side didn't get the quick fix it wanted & she put herself in a position where she would have to choose to escalate to act on her many threats & fantasies, or abandon them. Had she abandoned them, she would have immediately solved all her problems, but it would have meant invalidating a big part of her personality. In her mind, it would have made her the biggest loser ever. Zero credibility. Her ego wouldn't allow that. Instead, she chose to escalate. This realization 1st manifested as depression and dissociation because part of her understood she'd be destroying her life, but the dominant part simply didn't care. She'd psyoped herself into a cycle of escalation where she was so angry and frustrated at her kids that, with no path to "winning", she was ready to kill them. People like this tell themselves that it's sort of "for the greater good" & they're teaching society a lesson. This is all BS. In reality it is just an extremely malformed personality trying to assert itself in a way that is totally at odds with reality, then coping with losing with a spiral of aggression & hatred that builds up to a breaking point. That's Lindsay Clancy. >January 22: Dinner at a family friend’s house; the friend found her quiet but “fairly normal.” Her parents visited that weekend. >January 23: Virtual appointment with Tufts. Depressed mood, flat affect, racing heart, no motivation. She denied suicidal or homicidal ideation. Tufts observed no psychosis. The December 22 phone note was modified that day. Then she started to act normal. And why wouldn't she? The dissonance was over. She'd already decided to murder her kids. And then she did it. In a very calculated, methodical way. And I bet it felt SO GOOD to her when she did it. This was the culmination of a HUGE build up of hatred and murderous fantasies towards her kids. This was the ultimate cathartic release. Bear in mind that she had to murder all 3 in sequence. She had a full opportunity after the murdered the 1st one to be like "wow that was horrible, I definitely don't want to do that 2 more times" but she was LOVING IT. But then something she never could have imagined happened. Once she finished murdering all 3 children: that horrible evil personality inside her driving her to do it DISAPPEARED. Like, you know how when a guy cums and then suddenly he has massive "post nut clarity" because his entire sexual motivation to do whatever it takes to get pussy just disappears? Same thing. She won. She got what she wanted. That part of her was totally satisfied, and, once satisfied, IT NO LONGER HAD ANY REASON TO CONTINUE TO EXIST, so it just faded away. Lindsay Clancy didn't really want to kill herself. But in her post nut clarity, she realized she would need to play the victim. She edited her phone note to blame the medications. She slit her wrists and neck very lightly knowing it was just for looks. Then she jumped out of a 2nd story knowing it would probably just injure her but not kill her. Evil women often do things like fake heart attacks after they get caught because "play the victim" is the only move these people have. And ever since that day, Lindsay Clancy has always acted like a rational person who wanted to minimize the consequences for herself. It's not even strongly mental illness that made her do it, it was just a cognitive defect in committing internally to control & escalation repeatedly until her emotional motives exceeded her conscious capacity for reason. ☕️

To all the ladies who had the courage to not allow Clancy’s explanation to eclipse the victims: well done. To the others: “You cannot demand equal authority and then ask for discounted accountability. If women want equal rights, great. But equal rights come with equal wrongs.”
If Lindsay Clancy is found innocent because hormones made her emotionally unstable, women better be very careful celebrating that verdict. Because the law loves PRECEDENT. From that day forward, every job application is going to have a new question: “Are you currently hormonal?” “Well, I’m a woman.” “Thank you. I think we’ll be going in another direction.” You can’t carry a weapon anymore. No female police officers. Sorry, but we cannot hand a loaded gun to somebody whose legal defense might eventually be, “My hormones were acting up.” No more high-stress jobs, either. No air-traffic controllers. No surgeons. No nuclear-launch codes. One bad hot flash and boom 💥 Canada is glowing. And women definitely can’t be judges. How can you decide whether somebody else is emotionally stable when your own gender just established in court that hormones can make you kill three people? No female politicians, either. You can’t be trusted to run the country if, according to your own argument, your endocrine system occasionally takes over the government. And custody hearings are going to change overnight. The judge will say, “Ordinarily, children belong with their mother. However, according to the Lindsay Clancy precedent, she may be only one hormone away from a Netflix documentary. The children go with Dad.” Dad doesn’t know their shoe sizes, the pediatrician’s name or which one is allergic to peanuts, but his testosterone has never been successfully used as an insanity defense. Feminists spent a hundred years saying women are not hysterical, irrational creatures controlled by their biology and one defense attorney walks into court and says, “Ladies and gentlemen of the jury… have you considered the uterus?” You cannot demand equal authority and then ask for discounted accountability. If women want equal rights, great. But equal rights come with equal wrongs. Otherwise, that glass ceiling is about to become a padded ceiling.

Think Patrick gives the plot away with his golden tie.
Turns out @SantiagoAuFund and Whitney Webb were both right about stable coins, and how the U.S. government plans to fund its debt with them. This also explains why the U.S. is trying to cause chaos everywhere. If you destabilize international trade & trigger a recession, it causes a Dollar shortage in many countries throughout the world. By creating a Dollar shortage, it forces nations to print more of their own currency liquidate their foreign reserves and U.S. bonds. Doing so devalues their local currency, which increases demand for U.S. assets, triggering a feedback loop of a rising Dollar and demand for U.S. stable coins. Currency arbitrage is Scott Bessent's professional background. So much so that he helped cause the UK currency crisis in 1992 "Black Wednesday" and the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis with George Soros and Stanley Druckenmiller. In Scott Bessent's recent speech of "Economic D-Day" he specifically warned every nation that they're about to sanction any nation trading with Iran. That halts all cross border Dollar flows into those nations, which will trigger sovereign debt crisis. The "Japan crisis" also appears to be part of the plan to suddenly cutting off liquidity from markets. The plan really is genius... that's why it's called "The Genius Act" The question is, how do targeted nations prevent the sudden outflow of currency into the United States without being able to block Bitcoin and other crypto currencies?

It is fair to say that Canadians have never, ever been this angry before. We are red hot angry at the United States. The rage is palpable.

Nonono, it could not have been those three as they were at my complex helping Ms. Johnson, a retired widower and one of the kindest souls you’ve ever met, repaint her apartment for free. They’re clearly innocent.

Insightful commentary on the current state of the sexes’ viewpoints. Worth a read.
No. Men don’t hate women. They’re afraid. And I wish women would stop for a moment and imagine what the last several years have looked like from their perspective. A man knows that once a woman is pregnant, his voice over whether his own unborn child lives may effectively disappear. He sees women cheering laws that permit abortion very late in pregnancy and hears arguments about circumstances in which it could happen even near birth. You cannot answer the terror in that with statistics. He is imagining his child and realizing that his desire to protect that child gives him no veto. Then he watches children treated as though they possess the adult foresight to make decisions capable of changing their sexual development, fertility and future ability to become mothers or fathers. He watches adults call that agency. He sees healthy breasts removed from some adolescent girls and parents who object called transphobic. Many women championed this. Again, imagine being a father. He is told that wanting to preserve possibilities his child cannot even comprehend yet is not protection but bigotry. And now he hears Patrick Clancy’s 911 call. A father who had gone out for food and medicine for his children comes home and discovers the unimaginable. Then men open their phones and see women saying they “relate” to Lindsay, rallying around her, insisting she is innocent, even insinuating that somehow the father must be responsible. What do we expect men to feel? I would hope they are horrified. I would hope something ancient and protective rises up in them and says: No. The children. That is not some boogeyman called “patriarchy.” That is a lie. It is paternal. A father’s impulse to protect his children is not oppression. A potential father’s horror at imagining himself powerless to protect children he does not even have yet is not misogyny. It is love mixed with terror. And women are frightened too. I say this as a rape survivor who lived through MeToo. I know what female social pressure feels like. I know how quickly another woman’s pain can be recruited into a collective narrative and how quickly hesitation can be called betrayal. Women are human. We are capable of extraordinary tenderness, courage and protection. We are also capable of conformity, cruelty, status-seeking and being swept into a crowd. Those of us whose families lived under totalitarianism recognize the danger here. The Great Narrative takes an ordinary moral response and gives it an ideological name. Paternal protection becomes “patriarchy.” Fear becomes “misogyny.” Protecting a child’s future becomes “transphobia.” Female dissent becomes betrayal of women. And pretty soon men look at women and think we have become monsters, while women look back and conclude that men hate us. That is the trap. Don’t fall for it. Do not let the most grotesque women performing online convince you that they represent women. Do not let the angriest frightened men convince you that they represent hatred. Fear is not hatred. Paternal is not patriarchy. And you cannot cure terror by shaming people for feeling it. We should be coming together here, because underneath all of these political abstractions is something remarkably simple: Children are not ideological material. Do not kill them. Do not destroy their future possibilities because a theory tells you it is compassionate. Do not teach them to fear becoming mothers or fathers. And do not teach men and women to fear one another for wanting to protect them. The children come first. We do not have to live by lies.

…and another.
Women wanted to vote, work, go to college, make our own money, control our fertility, leave bad marriages, and build lives that weren’t entirely dependent on men. Good. We should have had all of that. But I think we massively underestimate what was sacrificed when we completely reorganized the family around two working adults. Women didn’t just leave the home. A tremendous amount of time, labor, and attention left the home with us. Someone used to have the time to make dinner, maintain the house, know what was going on with the children, help with school, care for babies, tend to relationships, create traditions, organize family life and generally make a home feel like a home. That arrangement came with very real restrictions on women. But the work itself wasn’t meaningless. It was hugely valuable. And instead of figuring out how to preserve that value while giving women freedom, we basically decided two adults could work fulltime and somehow squeeze an entire family’s needs into nights and weekends. Women fighting for these decisions sacrificed time with their children, spouses , community, extended family, home cooked meals, rest, attention, the possibility of having three or four children without feeling like you’re drowning. In many families, even the basic idea that one parent could make family life their primary responsibility became financially impossible or culturally embarrassing and then we’re surprised that people don’t want more children. Of course birth rates are falling. If having a child means two exhausted adults adding another massive responsibility to already overloaded lives, having fewer children becomes completely rational. Women are told we can have everything, but in practice “everything” often means a career plus pregnancy plus childbirth plus childcare plus household management plus maintaining a marriage while trying not to completely ruin all of the above. Men are working inside the same exhausted system and trying to figure out their place in a family structure that changed radically in a few generations. And children ultimately get whatever time and energy their parents have left. I’m not arguing that women should lose their choices or be forced back into the home. I’m arguing that maybe we made a massive mistake when we confused giving women the freedom to leave the home with deciding that having someone devoted to the home and family wasn’t valuable. We gained independence but we also made family life harder, more expensive, more rushed and more exhausting. And when people look at that reality and decide to have one child instead of four or none at all we shouldn’t be remotely surprised. Maybe falling birth rates aren’t some mysterious cultural disease. Maybe they’re people responding rationally to a society that made creating and tending to a family one of the hardest things you can choose to do.
