Impressive how little compassion they can muster for Jewish people murdered on October 7. You really have to go out of your way to diminish the absolute horror of that day. I was standing in the room with President Biden when he delivered brief remarks from the White House on October 7. I remember those early reports from the ground. Young women my age, who went to festivals just like I do. I remember hearing what they were put through in their final moments. Absolutely horrific. Period. I later met survivors, their families, and freed hostages, including Abigail, who turned four while being held captive by Hamas. When she visited the White House, I showed her photos of the president’s pets. She loved Dr. Biden’s kitty Willow. It takes a lot to make all of that horror look so small. And it says a lot about your own morality that you can minimize a terrorist attack to fit your own narrative.
Three years ago today, 1,100 people were killed and 251 were taken hostage. My heart is with those who lost loved ones and felt the pain of that day. What immediately followed was destruction on a scale this generation hasn’t seen in Israel's nearly 80 years of violent oppression of Palestinians — much of which was funded by American tax dollars. Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians, including over 20,000 children. More than 175,000 Palestinians have been wounded. Thousands more are still missing under the rubble. Entire Palestinian family names have been wiped from the civil registry. The Israeli military has bombed hospitals, schools, mosques, churches, humanitarian aid distribution centers, and water systems. Nearly the entire population of Gaza has been driven from their homes and forced to live in tents that have also been bombed. Israel is subjecting Palestinian men, women, and children to systematic torture and collective starvation as a weapon of genocide. Israel has killed over 1,400 Palestinians since its so-called ceasefire. Our tax dollars are paying for these atrocities and unconditional support from both the Biden and Trump administrations have allowed them to continue. Here in Uptown and the Bronx, our neighbors voted to invest in a politics of life: one where their tax dollars are used to invest in our babies at home, not in dropping bombs on babies abroad. If we are to build a politics of human dignity that disrupts cycles of violence, we must reckon with the reality of our own failure to intervene in decades of dispossession, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. Every human life is precious, and we must start acting like it. As a Member of Congress, I will do everything in my power to build a foreign policy rooted in the safety, equality, and freedom of all people, including ending U.S. taxpayer funding for Israel’s war crimes, fighting for a full arms embargo, and for the Palestinian right of return.

A decade ago, an Assad regime tank blew up my grandparents' home while they were still inside. The misuse of Syria videos in the Israel-Palestine information war spits on their memory. It must stop. My words for @Telegraph. telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/10…

Last thing on OAI math. Here is what four models, without search, think it would mean "if it were real". Journalist friends, call a mathematician and ask them to explain. Then call someone in AI and science and ask "what are bottlenecks to this in other practical fields..."

This is a really key point by @JaneAFlegal : "this comes down to whether it matters more to build good things fast or to block bad things" If you're optimistic about the growth potential and utility of clean energy -- and there's very good reason to be -- then take the deal!
BAAJA will asymmetrically benefit clean energy. Ultimately, tho, this comes down to whether it matters more to build good things fast or to block bad things. Experience shows emissions fall when clean energy gets cheaper & faster to deploy, not via blocking individual pipelines.

Damn right.
Never forget that three years ago, thousands of murders went on a spree to kill and torture as many civilians as they could. They videoed it. They bragged about it. They celebrated the most depraved acts of savagery motivated solely out of a hatred of Jews. There were those who ordered it. There were those who conducted it. And there were those around the globe cheered it and continue to. Evil incarnate

"crushed by decades of unfair trade practices and globalist policies" Shipbuilding is arguably the most protected sector of the US economy and the least exposed to international competition.
Shipbuilding was once a proud cornerstone of American industry, until it was crushed by decades of unfair trade practices and globalist policies. Now, in places like rural Georgia, @POTUS is bringing it home—putting Americans back to work and rebuilding the naval and industrial strength that keeps our enemies on notice.

Let's make something crystal clear. Anyone claiming the "Battle of Hormuz" has been won citing nothing but flow data is acting in bad faith. Let's make something else crystal clear. The US cannot actually win the "Battle of Hormuz." There is no endgame that results in status quo ante bellum, a free and open waterway navigable by all without obstruction or interference. That ship has sailed, pun very much intended. Can the US restore 100% pre-war flow of ships and product? Yes, eventually. Will oil prices return to pre-war levels? Yes, eventually. But as long as Iran exists in its current form, it will always exert its newfound influence over the Strait. Meaning there will always be added risk and that added risk will always be reflected in the costs to operate in and around the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. That is just unavoidable at this point. That is before we even begin to consider the cost in man, materiel, and money that went into this absurd conflict and the impact it will have on our ability to maintain readiness for future conflicts. American military support is the only reason export flows through the Strait have been revived to the current reduced levels and the military cannot continue these operations indefinitely. All infrastructure to sustain a permanent presence in the region is destroyed. The Navy, in particular, has been stretched as thin as it could possibly be just to maintain a blockade and air presence. Never mind bring ships anywhere near the Strait of Hormuz itself. Can the military outlast the rapidly devolving economic situation in Iran? Maybe. But at incalculable cost and Iran has spent the last 47 years being exposed to extensive economic pressure and in spite of all of this they're 31 weeks into a 4 week war and still putting the screws to shipping traffic while the US Navy moves its blockade line back out of fear of anti-ship missiles.
The US has basically won the battle of the Hormuz

OCTOBER 7, 2023: SHE KNEW SHE WAS GOING TO DIE. Libi Cohen-Meguri, a 22-year-old infantry officer, went to the Nova music festival. She was shot while fleeing the party. At 8:11 a.m., she called her parents and said: “I’ve been shot in the stomach, I’ve been shot in the arm, I’m losing blood. I’m going to die.” Calmly, quietly, she understood; these were the last minutes of her life. She asked her parents to call Tomer, her twin brother, and Maya, her little sister, and said: “I’m going to die. I just want you to listen to me. I love you, Yariv. You’re the best father I could have asked for. Mom, stop screaming. Just listen to me. You are the best mother we could have ever had. Don’t forget to be a good mother to Tomer and Maya after I die. Tomer, how lucky we were to live this life together. I love you. My Maya, never forget—you are the treasure of my life.” When she finished speaking, her parents told her to get out of the car, lie down on the road, and pretend to be dead. With her last bit of strength, she got out of the car and laid down on the road. “Mom, they’re coming to shoot me again,” Libi said after lying down. While her mother listened on the phone, shouts in Arabic could be heard, and then a barrage of gunfire. It didn’t stop. It kept going, until the call was disconnected. And that’s how Libi died—with demonic beasts from the pit of hell standing over her and emptying a full magazine into her body. Libi died with LOVE on her lips: love for life, love for her family, and love for her people. Her memory will forever be a blessing. NEVER FORGET. NEVER FORGIVE. NEVER AGAIN IS NOW. Israel is hunting down every single Palestinian and Hamas terrorist who participated in the October 7th Massacre—to kill them all. They’re living on “borrowed time,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. Sooner or later, every one of these monsters will be found and eliminated.

PSA: Right-wing nationalists, right-wing populists, postliberals, and burn-it-all-down types are not “conservatives”. Not all Republicans are conservatives. Words have meaning, and there are real differences between all of these labels. In January 2026, Benny Johnson called Jake Lang a “conservative activist” and publicly defended him. I’ll link the tweet ⬇️. Lang is a January 6 defendant that assaulted police officers — he is ON VIDEO beating them with a stick — who spent years in pretrial detention before being given a pardon. He also has a well-documented record of racist & white-supremacist rhetoric. The guy is a piece of 💩. Benny’s support came after Lang was attacked while staging confrontations in front of hostile crowds, a routine he has repeated several times. He is a chaos agent. Frustrating, but unsurprising from someone like Benny who has long treated the “big tent” GOP as a necessity rather than the liability it has become. Shockingly, Seth Dillon just made the same mistake by pinning the rise of Andrew freaking Tate on “conservatives.” NO. The conservatives I know never backed the Tate brothers, because they are about as far from conservatism as it gets. I personally have spent years correcting people my age who treated Tate as part of the movement and explaining why he was not. Seth should 100% know better. Do not hand the word “conservative” to a right-wing populist current that has spent more than a decade trying to redefine it from inside the GOP. Not now. Not ever.
Great job, conservatives. You picked a real hero. Tell me more about how you're fighting the Epstein pedophile class.

U.S. fentanyl seizures are actually way down compared to 2024. One possible reason is that "Director Patel" has done more to defund the police than anyone alive, diverting thousands of FBI agents from threats like drugs, terrorism, and violent crime to petty immigration cases.
The DEFUND THE POLICE crowd wanted America to “reimagine safety.” Translation: Let criminals run wild while cops take a backseat. Director Patel’s FBI had a different idea: ✅ 54,000 violent crime arrests (+90%) ✅ 31,000+ gangs disrupted ✅ 3,200+ kg of fentanyl seized They sold slogans. We delivered handcuffs. CRIMINALS FEAR RESULTS, NOT HASHTAGS.
