Since 2010, the median US home has gotten cheaper in bitcoin and gold, even as mortgage rates climbed back toward 7%. In 2010 it took over 2 million BTC to buy a median home. Today it takes under 10. Denominate in what can't be printed to understand the real value of hard assets.

Everything you own and need to buy is facing inflationary pressure by design. ₿ is one of the few off ramps for those with a long time horizon. Plan accordingly.

Classic. The intern bullposted the top. Price is holding up compared to early summer, we need to see a higher low to really convince allocators the low is in. That August gap is still open, and it looks like the October VWAP and 50-week MA are capping things for now. Retesting the 200D SMA feels like a perfectly acceptable pull back. Add a rate hike plus bonds/oil doing their thing, and holding zero $BTC starts to feel like the risky move looking out several years. Eyes open for more treasury actions.
This rally on $BTC feels very different from our other bear market bounces, for a few reasons: Volume. Inflows. A summer of complacent sideliners. Many of them got front run waiting for the "traditional" 1 year bear cycle. Max pain is, unironically, higher. $82k+ is particularly interesting for a macro structure shift. It feels expensive, and like it moved too fast, but if this is a bull/bear regime shift, we're still early with a multi year outlook. Not financial advice, just an observation.

The industry will progress regardless of what happens in congress. 🤝
My thanks go to everyone who put so much effort into the CLARITY Act— across the Administration, Congress, investors, and innovators. Our collective conviction that America must continue to lead is indispensable. I have been unequivocal: with or without legislation, we will act decisively within the SEC’s statutory authority to deliver certainty for American investors and for the entrepreneurs shaping our technological future. Stay tuned.

Quantum computing is one of the more unsettling ideas in Bitcoin: the notion that some future machine could eventually break the cryptography that keeps it secure. @mikebelshe addresses that concern directly. He points out that hundreds of engineers around the world are already deep into quantum-resistant research, and that this isn't a problem the industry is waiting to think about, it's one already being actively worked on. The remaining debate isn't whether Bitcoin can be protected, but which technical approach best serves its long-term health.
