⚡️NEW: FedNow, the Fed’s instant payment service for U.S. financial institutions, is going CROSS-BORDER, but it is NOT using stablecoins. FedNow will handle the U.S. leg of international payments in DOLLARS, while correspondent banks handle the overseas leg. That puts stablecoins in direct competition, as banks gain a 24/7 regulated alternative for faster cross-border payments.

Introducing XMD on Ethereum. One stablecoin. Many ways to mint and redeem with leading financial institutions. The era of fragmented liquidity across stablecoin ecosystems comes to an end. That’s Metal.
Metal Dollar (XMD) is now live on Ethereum, the world’s largest DeFi network. XMD’s multi-reserve model joins Ethereum’s ecosystem of stablecoins, tokenized assets and institutional finance. Mint and redeem with USDC, PYUSD, USDP and RLUSD. metaldollar.com/blog/metal-d…

🚨TODAY: The SEC just released NEW FAQs on CRYPTO assets, clarifying how securities laws apply to certain tokens and transactions. KEY POINTS: - A token and the investment contract used to sell it are not necessarily the same. A token can later exist as a non-security crypto asset. - Functionality and decentralization depend partly on what the issuer actually promised buyers. - Staking receipt tokens are not automatically securities. Some may qualify as digital tools or digital commodities. - A true crypto “receipt” only represents ownership of the underlying asset. The issuer cannot lend, pledge or rehypothecate it. - Marketing a network’s utility or future features alone does not necessarily create an investment contract. - If another party takes over the issuer’s promises, the investment contract does not automatically disappear. - Developers can continue maintaining and upgrading a functional network without those efforts necessarily satisfying Howey. - On a decentralized network with no central controller, issuer statements are less likely to create a new investment contract. - Token buybacks are not automatically securities-related, unless tied to promised yield or returns before the network is functional. - Exchanges offering secondary trading are not automatically considered promoters. OVERALL, the new SEC FAQ is focusing more on what the token actually represents, how functional and decentralized the network is, who controls it, and what was promised to buyers. Of note, these are FAQs issued by the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance staff, NOT new SEC rules.
🚨JUST IN: SEC Commisioner calls to END mass KYC data collection. Hester Peirce warns existing KYC/AML frameworks create huge databases of sensitive user data, making them prime targets for hacks, phishing and even physical attacks. She is pushing zero-knowledge proofs as an alternative, allowing users to prove compliance without exposing their personal data.

FedNow just took another step into cross border. 1,700 US banks and CUs already on the rail. Proposed rule lets them use correspondent banks so FedNow settles the US leg in seconds. International piece still rides the old correspondent network. Not a global Fed rail. But it is instant USD settlement bolted onto the same problem @Ripple has been selling XRP for. So why would a bank pay for Ripple / XRP as the bridge when they can just sit on FedNow? They already have the Fed account. They already have the compliance stack. They already have correspondents. Instant domestic settlement is now the default, not a pitch. The remaining pain is the foreign leg and the last-mile wallet / member experience. That’s where @MetallicusTDBN actually sits. Metallicus is a certified FedNow service provider (Send, Receive, Liquidity Management, Request for Payment). Banks and credit unions can plug into FedNow and run @MetalBlockchain + @XPRNetwork for the speed and cost they actually feel: instant, cheap, on-chain identity, BSA-friendly rails, white-label @webauthwallet so the institution keeps the member relationship instead of handing it to another fintech. FedNow does the regulated USD instant settle. Metal / XPR / WebAuth is the stack they white-label on top so the bank doesn’t need a separate crypto vendor and a separate wallet vendor. Ripple still has a story on thin corridors with no correspondent depth. For the US bank that already lives on Fed rails? The question is getting louder: Why add XRP to the flow when FedNow + a certified provider that already white-labels the wallet is sitting right there? Not financial advice. Just the architecture. finance.yahoo.com/markets/cu…

Metal Blockchain and XPR Network are not competitors in the stack — they do different jobs. If A-Chain sits between private subnets, that solves coordination / settlement. It does not suddenly make the user-facing liquidity, trading, wallet UX, and asset layer irrelevant. That’s where XPR Network comes in. XPR Network is the retail + access + liquidity rail. Metal Blockchain is the institutional + compliance + subnet rail. You need both. Without Metal Blockchain, you lose the infrastructure for compliant institutional flows. Without XPR Network, you lose the gasless UX, WebAuth rails, Metal X access, and the place where users actually interact with assets. So no — the thesis is not “Metal Blockchain wins, therefore XPR doesn’t matter.” The real thesis is: Metal Blockchain expands the backend. XPR Network remains the frontend liquidity and user access layer. One powers the institutional machine. The other powers the network effect. And in crypto, the chain with the users still matters.

INSIGHT: SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce calls for a rethink of KYC and AML oversight. She argues the "more data, the better" approach creates haystacks too big to find needles, and that zero-knowledge proofs could verify compliance without exposing personal data.

This is how i built the cloud trading bot vaults 👇 You own the vault. full control, always. The keeper bot gets one permission: trade... it can't call any other vault action. And every trade is fenced by your own price bands and daily budget. Native @XPRNetwork permissions, no custodian.
you gave the valet your key. he ate your cereal, walked your dog and slept in your bed. give every key one job with @xprnetwork native permissions 🔑

UPDATE: @SimpleDEXFun Updates — September 24 NEW: One-Transfer Multi-Hop Swaps (for bots, aggregators & power users) - Route a swap through up to 4 pools with a single token transfer — memo: route:<pool1>,<pool2>,...:<minOut> - No direction flags needed: the contract works out each hop from the token you send, and the whole route is atomic (any failed check refunds everything) - Same pattern aggregators already use on other XPR Network DEXes — so SimpleDEX pools can now be part of their routes - Docs for developers & AI agents: simpledex.fun/llms-trading.t… Smart Contract Upgrade — SimpleDEX V2.1a (live on mainnet) - Paused pools are now blocked on every swap path - Deposits only accept the pool's own tokens — fake or unrelated tokens are rejected - New pools must use each token's real decimal precision, so liquidity can never get stuck in a mis-configured pool - Fairer multi-hop fees: a multi-pool swap now pays the protocol fee for every pool it uses, the same as doing the swaps one by one - Two independent code reviews, tested against the live contract code with 60+ automated checks, verified end-to-end on testnet (including a full token launch → graduation), and deployed via a 2-of-4 multisig Security: Admin Keys Moved to Multisig - Control of the DEX contract now sits with a 2-of-4 multisig behind a timelock — no single key can change it Live Trades - Token pages now update in near real time — everyone's buys and sells appear within about 30 seconds, not just your own - Swap quotes now include the protocol fee, so "minimum received" matches what you actually get - TikTok links now show on token pages (thanks MsJb for the feedback!) More Accurate Portfolios, PnL & Tax Data - Bonding-curve accounting rebuilt to be exact: every buy, sell and claim now reconciles to the chain to the last unit - 3,000+ previously missing swaps restored to trade history, plus two-step swaps that weren't being recorded - Fixed PnL double-counting of tokens bought on the curve and later claimed - Cross-checked against tax.protonnz.com's independent on-chain booking — every test account matches - Tax exports: tax.protonnz.com For Developers & Agents - New API: GET /api/portfolio/:account/holdings — all on-chain token balances valued in USD - Trade history API now supports cursor paging and type filters, so even accounts with millions of trades page quickly - AI-agent guides (llms.txt) updated with the new swap route, exact fee maths and error codes Faster, Tougher Backend - Point-in-time database backups with a tested restore - The indexer now recovers on its own from database restarts - Our full-history Hyperion node now repairs its own gaps automatically, and alerts us if anything goes missing Try it: simpledex.fun Powered by @XPRNetwork - thanks for voting @protonnz when you stake $XPR 🫡⚛️

Coming soon on @XPRNetwork 🤖 Trading bots usually want your money or your keys. This one gets neither. The problem: automated trading usually means trusting someone. You hand your funds to a platform, or give a bot your keys and hope. If they get hacked or disappear, so does your money. What we built: trading vaults you own. ⚛️ Your vault is an ordinary XPR account in your name. ⚛️ Our bot can call exactly one action on it, trade, inside limits you set: per trade, per day, and what it must always keep. ⚛️ It can't withdraw or send your funds anywhere. Only you can. Your money never leaves your control. Orders don't sit on the DEX: each trade fills and settles back into your vault in the same transaction. So your funds are always in an account YOU control, and you can take them out any time with one signature, even if our servers are down. That's thanks to XPR Network's permission system: a custom permission, tied by linkauth to that one trade action, is all the bot ever gets. Trustless setup: an on-chain contract builds your vault from published, hash-checked code. Before you add a cent, your browser reads the chain and runs 7 checks: that it's the published code, that only you own it, and that the bot can do exactly one thing. We never hold your funds. Why XPR Network: permissions fine-grained enough to lock a bot to one action, no gas fees so small trades make sense, an on-chain order book (@MetalXApp) with on-chain price oracles, and @webauthwallet signing with Face ID or Yubikey. Here's a full setup, start to finish 👇 Opening soon to a small group of testers.
