In 2021, while running for Miami Beach City Commission, Fabian Basabe told the Florida LGBTQ Democratic Caucus: “I am a Republican, and I am a gay candidate running for office in Miami Beach.” Multiple outlets (Page Six, New York Post, The Advocate, Miami New Times, LGBTQ Nation) have reported that he has identified as gay, that it was widely known in Miami/New York social circles.
He has also been the subject of multiple accusations from men involving sexual advances, groping, propositions for sex with men, and comments about being a “bottom.” In July 2026 a jury found him liable for sexually harassing two male staffers and awarded $450,000. (GUILTY)
As Tarrant County GOP chair Bo French repeatedly used “gay,” “homo,” and similar terms as slurs on X—calling a Democratic ad “the gayest ad in history,” saying the men in it were “homos,” including “Gay” as one of the poll options for people who preferred Harris’s policies to Trump’s, and using the word as a one-word reply to posts by gay officials.
This coming from a man who my secondary source related the following: BO FRENCH, as confirmed by SEVERAL RELIABLE RIVERCREST COUNTRY CLUB RESIDENTS, was CAUGHT, by the steam room attendant, having sex with another man (that is SODOMY for the slow crowd) in the steam room at the Rivercrest Country Club in Fort Worth. He was only a member for 5 years.
This distasteful incident happened in 2024 and Rivercrest’s janitorial staff closed the steam room to scrub the whole thing with bleach for 4 days! Many pearls were clutched by the Rivercrest Community, as I am sure it smelled like a “rotting corpse”. This was also confirmed to Rivercrest Community Members via written communication, as members needed to be made aware of WHY THEY COULD NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE STEAM ROOM!
