What kind of father does that?
Crashing waves. Chaos. A child struggling in the water, while his own father boards the boat rather than staying to protect him.
I believe scenes like this expose the failures surrounding these crossings, from the charities involved, to the actions of the French authorities, to the decisions being made by the British Government.
People are becoming increasingly angry about what they are seeing.
I genuinely fear that if confidence in the authorities continues to collapse, some people will eventually try to take matters into their own hands.
To be absolutely clear, I am not condoning, encouraging or supporting violence in any way, shape or form.

A few days ago, I obtained information about individuals who help the Islamic Republic circumvent sanctions by procuring and shipping goods on its behalf. I spoke about this in several posts on Instagram.
Today, for the first time in all the time I have been subjected to threats including an attempt on my life someone contacted me from an identifiable phone number and threatened to leave me paralysed by attacking me while I am cycling.
This is how comfortable the Islamic Republic feels operating in Britain.
I have now received further information suggesting that these individuals are also involved in human trafficking.
If Britain truly understood the threat the Islamic Republic poses to its own security, it would not tolerate its activities here for a single day.
But it seems they want to experience the consequences for themselves.
