There is something special about a room full of software developers who just want to hang out with other software developers. No big pitch. No forced networking. No pretending everybody has it all figured out. Just people talking shop, sharing ideas, laughing, debating, teaching, learning, and probably arguing about something unnecessarily specific. That is what I love about Dallas Software Developers Group! We get to build a place where people who spend all day thinking about weird technical problems can walk into a room and immediately feel like they found their people. Sometimes community is not about where it takes you. Sometimes it is just really good to be around people who get it. Another great night with the Dallas dev community. ❤️

Going back home, it’s been a great experience to be here @ TX I’m sure to come back soon!!!

Hundreds of people walked through the #CYC26 doors, but y’all turned this conference into something truly special. With my own eyes, I watched two complete strangers meet, only for one to immediately introduce the other to someone who could help them land a job opportunity. I watched a speaker sit down next to someone, open up their code, and help them understand it. 8 people told us they’re starting new jobs. More than 10 landed interviews. Hundreds told me they left feeling revitalized. And I need y’all to understand something: That wasn’t me. That was y’all. We can book the venue. We can build the stages. We can bring in the speakers. But we cannot manufacture people caring about each other. You did that. The greatest luxury of my life is getting to build something like this, were people actually support one another, and then stand in the middle of it with y’all. WE did it. Thank you for making CYC26 what it was. ❤️
