NY Post highlights a biological female who identifies as a man, stopped testosterone, got pregnant, and gave birth via C-section in 2020—then complained that hospital staff called her “ma’am,” “mom,” or “mother.”
Only females can get pregnant and give birth. Pregnancy care exists around female anatomy, hormones, and risks for a reason. A beard, top surgery, and a “male” gender marker on paperwork don’t change chromosomes, a uterus, or the fact that the person who gestates and delivers the baby is the mother.
Medical staff using sex-based language while treating a pregnant patient isn’t “misgendering.” It’s recognizing observable biology in a setting where sex determines treatment, dosages, complications, and outcomes. Demanding they ignore that prioritizes feelings over accurate medical care.
Parenting arrangements are personal. Biology is not.
