I noticed this too. Some bestselling authors are just so good at making stuff up on a spot and pretending it was always like this. Like it’s an absolutely normal to have emotion changer 5000 in a room in 3432 year, everyone will have it and u will be like “why not?”
I believe anyone who finishes a book, gets rejected, eventually gets trad published, or indie published, has plenty of courage. But a good writer, a great book, no sir, talent, skill, hard fucking work to improve, all are far more important than just courage. IMO of course.
Its kinda like being upset that no one else in this world has this great idea, so I may as well be the one to try to publish that idea first so other people realize that it was a great idea.
If you are holding back, as an artist, and self-censoring, you are wasting everyone’s time, including your own.
