Two groups can't use credit cards: the 1.4 billion unbanked people around the world, and AI agents calling APIs. Neither can pass KYC. Neither has a bank account. But both can hold a Bitcoin Lightning wallet. Last week I added Lightning to @python_starter - any Python dev or vibe coder can now ship a Flask web app payable by both. Check out the video demo to see the Lightning payment process in action:

“God promised us Israel thousands of years ago.” So if Italians show up tomorrow claiming Palestine on behalf of the Roman Empire, we’re all supposed to respect their ancestral paperwork too, right? Quite possibly the most ridiculous claim in modern politics.

Unbelievable:
Jewish immigrant to Palestine accidentally shows a shred of humanity on Israeli TV because she didn't realise they were Live on Air and is immediately terrified.

Unfortunately Bibi is by the far the favourite to be the next PM according to the prediction markets:

Interesting to see how a figure like @dansenor lies to an American audience about Israel-Palestine: 1. “There was no questioning about the legitimacy of the election result” - in fact Bibi himself came out on X and called for a police investigation into the Arab vote. 2. The “Israeli-Arab” parties and population don’t care about Gaza, only about “domestic” issues - in fact they have been racially maligned and @ShahadehAbou banned exactly on this issue. youtu.be/YYkZdvfi5rk?is=tLPk…

If Eizenkot can form a government and literally the only thing it can it can agree to do before collapsing is establish a commission of inquiry, it might have a better chance of dislodge Netanyahu than anything else. Hard to see another chance at this again.

Exactly the excuse Bibi needs to launch the fresh war with Iran now:
Breaking: A ship belonging to Israeli ZIM conglomerate hit by 3 drones, sunk in the Black Sea. No loss of lives. Identity of attackers unclear. Also not clear if ship was Israeli-flagged. Ukraine and Russia have been attacking shipping in Black Sea, so doesn't need to be Iran

Fascinating how the Joint List's political platform, which calls for a two-state solution, the Arab Peace Initiative and full equality for all citizens, is considered to be radical and a non-starter for Israeli politics. International law treated as a "threat".
A little humility, please. Choosing to govern with the support of #Israel's two #Arab parties may seem like a straightforward political calculus 6,000 miles away but let's not forget that the Joint List, by far the largest of the two, ran on a platform in which it described itself as "a genuine democratic alternative to the racist #Zionist consensus" -- meaning not just an alternative to @netanyahu but to the fundamental idea of the state. The @gadi_eisenkot-led coalition may ultimately decide to rely on their votes to oust the current government but let's not insult people who have devoted their lives to protecting Israel to suggest this is an easy or simple decision. And if they decide against that path, they may have a very good reason. For details: jointlist.org.il/en/platform…

Eisenkot has ruled out sitting with any of the Arab / Palestinian 48 parties. Even if he joins with Ra’am which has a Zionist Jewish former police chief as its number 2, it will only get him to 56 seats. The only way he can create a government is with the support of the Joint List which would take him to 67.

Noooo who wouldve seen it coming
Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Liberman has reportedly cut off contact with opposition leaders Gadi Eisenkot and Naftali Bennett, refusing to answer their calls, according to Channel 12. Liberman maintains that he will neither join a Netanyahu-led government nor support a minority government relying on Arab parties. He also expects Eisenkot to face pressure to join a unity government with Netanyahu and would prefer him to make that decision himself. #Israel 🇮🇱

Just now: the dominant story about elections led Amit Segal and the likes, is “foreign intervention” narrative aimed at delegitimising Arab vote. Smotrich is already calling for Shin Bet to interrogate Arab party leaders.

Ironically, it looks like it will take Palestinian Muslim, Christian and Bedouin citizens to save Israel from itself. Hopefully this will be the start of something much more egalitarian than the system that the Zionist ideology created.
💥The two Arab-majority parties in Israel are proposing, in not so many words, to save the State of Israel. 🛘This is an earthquake. 🛘

כתבה: haaretz.co.il/news/elections…
