In Russia’s Samara, the Samara Line Production and Dispatch Station, a major oil tank farm and part of the Transneft system, was reportedly attacked.
The facility covers more than 216 hectares. It contains 71 storage tanks with a combined capacity of more than 1.6 million cubic meters of oil, two oil pumping stations - Samara-1 and Samara-2 - as well as a separate oil blending station.
The Transneft LPDS is a major industrial hub that receives and blends different grades of oil before transporting it further through the main oil pipeline system.
