Started using the Cursor "projects" more lately and really liking them. Doesn't feel like as big of an "oh this is clearly where things are going" as Grok Bot did, but I do think it's vague shape will get more common over time The big single coordinator thread with deep context on the project and "subagents" that are just cloud agents works way better than I expected It's kinda weird to get used to and I expected to loose more work into the void but I really haven't. It's one of the best systems for NOT loosing work (T3 Code's sidebar is another excellent system for this kind of thing). Between the project view, list of prs at the bottom, the list of running agents, it's surprisingly easy to get a clear high level look at what "work" is currently happening It's another layer of abstraction which takes a lot of getting used to. You kinda have to commit to getting it setup for a project to really see the benefits (get the cloud agent env setup correctly), but once u do it's impressive It's like most of the SpaceXAi stuff right now: they have the best products of any lab (cursor, grok bot, origin, etc.) while being stuck with a pretty mid model. They are definitely pushing Grok to it's absolute limit which I respect, but man it's gonna be nice when the model catches up to the products...

totally agree with this, they have the stacks and tools that are very convenient to use but their models are still stuck in the past, additionally we're also waiting for grok 4.7 which the expectation now is lower with newer batch of models are coming from claude and chatgpt

It’s a bit half baked right now. No support for projects in Web or Mobile. Only desktop.

I thought it was just another way to group threads lol might have to take a closer look then

One main playground + feature specific worktrees is how I run paseo. I don't have a hell thread though, I just launch new threads for new ideas within the playground... 🤔

How do you get your sidebar to look like that?

Agreed cursor projects is my favorite dev ux now, but hopefully grok 4.7 makes a significant improvement.

The coordinator thread plus a visible list of running cloud agents is what makes Projects feel safe. Once the env is set, work stops disappearing into a single chat.

I use the cursor subscription to augment when my Grok weekly usage runs out. Claude Fable specifically requests Claude models for security/exploitation testing. Especially after this weekend, when codex refused a security scan on code it wrote the hour before.

I agree the project view and running-agent overview reduce lost work. I’m less convinced the model is merely “mid” here: better coordination can make a weaker model more useful, but it still cannot replace strong code judgment on ambiguous tasks.

coordinator thread with deep context, grok bot that already ships that shape

Having one central coordinator with persistent context completely beats juggling scattered prompts across tabs.

Totally agree with this

spacex products or cursors products? the products may be really good but they have a lot of work in figuring out this spacexai x cursor thing. shit is such a tangled mess its the only reason i have not fully gone all in on grok/cursor for my workflow. openai until then.

This is an interesting product although it’s something that both cursor and anthropic have implemented. For people who have used it does cursor allow local projects? Since anthropic only allows projects for cloud sessions

Bottleneck just moves to review. You spawn faster than you read.
