It’s easy to think that the Frontier labs are trying to take everyone that builds apps and courses for a living jobs.
They have already shown the willingness to upset and remake popular apps and businesses.
The laws they really want is the ability to do so with no repercussions.
How no one is talking about this is beyond me.

What I find incredible is that people actually think that these companies or governments would ever let the masses get a hold of any tool like “AGI”. I mean it’s ridiculous from the jump.

Grand National was an awesome car. The all blacked out version was slick. My brother bought the Iroc Z in 88 and in 90 I bought the Mustang GT. The mustang has been the biggest piece of shit car I have ever owned. I stayed away from ford’s for 25 years just cuz of that car.

I switched from Alfred to Raycast. I’m wondering why I pay for it lately when I have Alfred already because it isn’t any better. Actually does the same thing for me. The AI tool is just riding the wave I don’t understand why you would use it and not just an AI tool app itself.

Good idea - banks are giving kids loans that they can’t repay, and kids who haven’t been taught financially literacy are taking them.
Then they:
1. End up with a degree that the market won’t pay them for.
2. Have all this student loan debt.
3. Become permanent renters who can’t afford a home and don’t want to start a family.
That’s fertile soil for socialism and radicalism to take root.
Kids need to be taught that a college degree is an investment, and some investments are better financially than others.
This student trap contributing to the economic frustration and the loss of the American dream.

To ask AI for an opinion is idiotic and ignorant. It's a calculation with a bunch of algorithms on top. You might as well ask Amodei himself you will get the same answer. I bet we find out that these models are basically the same models with just better directions honed over a few years which reenforces the point that it's still just a calculator but with better algos.
