Lavender looks good with gray hair, but a pocket square or tie would suffice. My sense is that the suit should be saved for garden parties or derby days, otherwise, you look like a clown any time of the year. If Cruz wants to stick out, maybe as a Southerner, he could get away with a lavender and white stripe seersucker suit. Otherwise, gift that suit to an assistant manager at a Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlor.
