🌸 State-Level Angan Ka Utsav–2026 | Puri Under the theme “Our Anganwadi, Our Responsibility,” the State-Level Angan Ka Utsav–2026 was celebrated with enthusiasm at *Sangalaishasan Anganwadi Centre under Pipili ICDS Project, Puri. The programme was graced by Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister *Smt. Pravati Parida, along with Hon’ble MLA, Pipili Shri Ashrit Pattnayak, Director, W&CD Department Smt. In view of the depression over the westcentral and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal, Collector, Puri visited the Beladala and Rendhua Cyclone Shelters of Puri Sadar Block to review preparedness and safety arrangements. 🌊 International Coastal Clean-Up Day 2026 | Astaranga International Coastal Clean-Up Day–2026 was observed at Pir Jahania Sea Beach, Astaranga, on 12 September 2026, with the theme “Swachh Sagar Surakshit Sagar.” The programme marked the beginning of the week-long coastal cleanliness campaign being conducted from 12–19 September 2026. Organised by Odisha Tourism in association with the District Administration, Puri, the initiative aimed to promote awareness on clean, pollution-free beaches and protection of the coastal environment. Around 100 SHG members, along with officials from the School and Mass Education, Forest Department and Block Administration, NGOs, volunteers, students and community members actively participated in the beach-cleaning drive.
