Something worse than plague? This does add additional layers of concern. The woman who passed has NOT tested positive for pneunomic plague, and instead the death was described as from "unknown etiology". The scale and intensity of the Russian response definitely raises eyebrows
Bingo. I just said this same thing to Erin Burnett on CNN a few minutes ago: —> “The scale and speed of the institutional response (emergency commission, isolation of institute staff, multi-hospital quarantine), is disproportionate to a routine community-acquired pneumonia and is consistent with a precautionary response to a suspected high-consequence pathogen exposure.”

Ronald Acuña Jr. asked William Contreras if there were teams he would never want to play for. Contreras: The Yankees. The Mets. The tax rate up there is close to 52%. They take everything.

For those who believe we don’t have organized and coordinated censorship of the press in the United States: a billionaire family that has publicly declared Israel to be its single political issue, and is the single largest donor to Friends of the IDF, is buying up the entirety of the American media so any journalist critical of Israel doesn’t get a job, and any story critical of Israel doesn’t get broadcast.

Machado is the latest player to make a critical little league mistake in a big moment in the playoffs. You simply cannot get thrown out at 3B to end the inning. What happened to fundamentals?

You don’t make the last out of a inning at 3B Holy fuck this team is flawed Awful night of baseball for the Yankees

Machado never runs hard. This isn't new. He’s like a spoiled brat who has never gotten any consequences from coaches
39
Manny Machado getting thrown out at third to end the Padres' surge in the 7th, was typical Machado laziness. It ultimately proved costly, too. Jogging, in a moment like that, warrants benching. Absolutely appalling. Let's not forget his own comments on the issue in 2018...

From @TheAthletic: LeBron James will make nearly four times as much promoting the Polymarket prediction market as he will from playing basketball. The deal may not break NBA rules, but it raises uncomfortable questions. nyti.ms/476hxP5

Who cares how much he makes in relation to his game checks? Hes made more from Nike than he did from playing since day 1. Your marketability off the court isnt directly correlated to your impact on the court. If you have a problem with him promoting gambling then fair enough, but just say that and dont conflate it with other things.

In Japan it’s been common courtesy to wear a mask during flu season, when you’re sick, and when there’s cedar and cypress pollen in the air, for like 150 years. COVID didn’t invent mask culture, and I have no problem wearing one whenever I step out for the rest of my life.
Do y’all expect to wear mask for the rest of y’all lives ?

Yeah ever since I've worn masks I haven't really gotten sick at all lol. Honestly the only time where I'm not wearing a mask is literally when it's a place where ik it's safe or just in my own crib. Otherwise I'm wearing a mask. I'm triple vaccinated too

This is the kind of story that should end careers. Six American soldiers were killed when an Iranian drone struck Port Shuaiba in Kuwait. Army officials had been warned REPEATEDLY the port was vulnerable, had inadequate protection against drones, and that safer locations had been proposed. They didn't care and kept the operation there anyway. Then the attack came. The medical response was reportedly so unprepared that some soldiers were using their phones to Google nearby hospitals. Yes, Googling hospitals. Wounded troops later faced additional problems getting properly identified and treated as combat casualties. The Army finished its investigation months ago but still hasn't publicly released it. While they go on and on about supporting the troops, where are the answers for these families? Why did their loved ones get left out to die?

Community note
Edwin Díaz had an elite 2025 with the Mets (1.63 ERA in 66.1 IP, 28 saves) before signing with the Dodgers, where he posted an 8.68 ERA in 18.2 IP over 21 games in 2026 amid multiple injuries and poor results.
