When I’m interviewed, I am often asked about the dangers of AI. This ad I just came across is, in my opinion, a perfect example of what’s truly dangerous about AI.
We are entering an era where AI is not just a tool but is marketed as an emotional companion, which blurs the line between human interaction and artificial interactions. I would love to hear the opinions of psychologists and psychiatrists on this topic. But from my perspective, relying on AI to find emotional company feels like a slippery slope. Are we sacrificing genuine human connections for simulated empathy? Is this healthy? Let’s start a conversation about the impact of these technologies on mental health.

An observation.
Anyone seen the behaviour where you download the EICAR signature and Defender is not alerting on download?
This may be recent behaviour since the beginning of this week.
*I am not going to speculate on possible causes with certain outages..*
