Apparently ~160 people in Austin, TX may make $100M+ from the SpaceX IPO. 12 will clear $1B. Don't sleep on Austin - that's a lot of capital formation, very quickly.

DFW actually surpassed Austin in rent prices in 2025 Austin area rent prices actually have some of the best affordability metrics in the country right now Yeah it was a bubble in 2022, but it retraced quickly and is bottoming

Seems like 160 people who need to watch this episode of your podcast Learn about how to diversify some of these capital gains very tax efficiently into Texas apartments
After nearly 7 years as The Fort, we have rebranded the podcast as POWERS. We welcome back @DallasAptGP to the podcast for a deep dive into the evolution of Opportunity Zones and also his firm, Savoy. Barrett shares how his focus on Opportunity Zone projects has shaped Savoy, why these tax-incentivized investments are so compelling for long-term real estate strategies, and how his team has expanded into property management, construction, and development. The discussion also highlights the transformation of Dallas neighborhoods, navigating legislation, and lessons learned from working with contractors and city partnerships. We discuss: - How Barrett discovered opportunity zones and built a firm around them - The redevelopment of Bishop Ridge in Dallas and the strategy behind choosing locations - Key changes from Opportunity Zone 1.0 to 2.0 and what they mean for investors - Building out complementary businesses in property management, renovations, and construction - Combining opportunity zones with PFC structures to maximize returns and affordability 5:52 - Barrett's real estate journey 7:12 - Opportunity zones in practice 21:08 - Case study: Bishop Ridge 26:21 - Future of opportunity zones 34:51 - Understanding OZ tax benefits 35:16 - Clarifying misconceptions about OZ investments 36:55 - Step up in basis explained 38:46 - Investing in opportunity zone businesses 43:47 - Challenges with general contractors 48:42 - Expanding Savoy Equity Partners 58:31 - Navigating PFC and OZ deals 1:04:33 - Conclusion and contact information

Courtesy of average Americans’ 401K who will enjoy the privilege of taking part in the IPO after everyone else at peak prices. 👏 Well played.

It’s pretty wild and does not surprise me. Based on what I’ve see $20-30 million is a good bogey for anyone who has been there for 10+ years depending on level.

And think of all the technicians and machinists and welders etc who help build satellites, rockets, engines, all these parts in Florida, Washington, California, Texas who will be getting $100k to maybe millions of windfall depending when they started. It’s going to be massive

Impressive. I wonder what the next gen of startups will be, hopefully manufacturing, deep math & hard sciences If you look at many of the players there now - ecommerce, payments, shipping logistics, anti-fraud, etc - lots have roots in Dell pioneering online sales ~30 years ago

Tons of liquidity will go into startups around TERAFAB.AI supply chain for SpaceX post IPO expansion… Austin, Taxes!!
Q2 2026 @alexdolbun: Mr. @elonmusk building the TERAFAB.AI 100 million sqft is the right order of magnitude for $1.38 trillion $TSLA Tesla/ $1.75 trillion SpaceXAI... (btw Regolith.com users enter SpaceX under $100 billion MC!!) Let's put #TERAFAB into perspective: 100 million square feet is equivalent to: • 3 New York Central Parks • 15 U.S. Pentagons • 555 Walmart Supercenters • 1,736 football fields • 23 Disneyland Parks • 8.8% the size of Paris • 10 Tesla Giga Texas buildings • 2,300 acres • 3.6 square miles For me from cryptocurrencies/freedom point of view is important to mention that Mr. @cz_binance and #BNB / #Binance backed family office of his @yzilabs invested $500 million into $44 billion Twitter acquisition, that becomes xAI, that was M&Aed by SpaceX… it’s all matter, as @CoinMarketCap is owned by CZ / YZiLabs and @XMoney with crypto #cashtags that Mr. @nikitabier promised us for checking the prices of supported projects in the timeline, all of it will come together soon…

Who’s sleeping on Austin? From what I’ve seen and heard it can’t really handle the number of people already there. Seems like one of the least slept on cities in the country.
