Great night out watching three women in a field perform Macbeth.
Partway through, one of them went into the crowd and stole someone's (chicken) wine and proceeded to finish the bottle between them.

The fact that Kay thinks God's Own Country is Greater Manchester is a pretty good reason to move the government up north.

Britain is pretty much split down the middle on whether Andy Burnham should continue living in Greater Manchester rather than moving into No.10 if he became Prime Minister.
My first thought wasn’t political. It was practical.
What happens if there’s a COBRA emergency at 3am?
No.10 isn’t just a home. It’s the operational centre of government. In a national crisis like a terror or cyberattack, military action or a major civil emergency does the Prime Minister needs to be where ministers, officials and the security services can gather within minutes, not hours?
Perhaps there’s an answer I’m missing, but it does make me wonder whether the symbolism of staying rooted in God’s own country would outweigh the practical realities of running the nation.

I'm not knocking London, especially not the NHM which is amazing, but I don't consider 9 out of the top 10 attractions being in London to be a good thing for the UK as a whole.
The UK is more than just London.
No bones about it, the Natural History Museum is a favourite. 🦖
Being named the UK’s most visited attraction in 2025 proves that history is a massive draw. With 9 of the top 10 UK attractions in London, our culture is in a league of its own.
