My codebase-visualizer-as-dwarf-fortress is shaping up nicely—it's actually useful for understanding a codebase. This codebase is craaaazy—I've always known it but now I can point directly to where the issues are.
Not sure if this is anything yet

I'll put together a release on npm shortly, once it's got the barest way of being legible to anyone but me

i think this is kind of like what we've been thinking, curious for your thoughts: x.com/_ketan0/status/2088725… can try it here:
Introducing Review, an open-source desktop app designed to give you confidence in AI-generated code. Review interactive visualizations, diffs, and agent traces, all from one interface. It’s like Cursor, but purpose-built for code review. youtu.be/mDgxhzrFi2Y

I mean I think checking and verifying agentic work will be a rate limiter for a long long time. My gut says extremely dense UI is part of the story, and that looking at code as a first class review surface is well on its way out the door.

I've been wanting to incorporate dwarf fortress into my system and planned to use my governance DAG nodes as rooms and relationships as hallways but I hadn't figured out how to do the messier data yet. This is really inspiring and I'd love to learn more.

You’re adorable. No way in hell that’s actually parsable unless… you have a neuralink?

This is very cool, I know nothing about "dwarf-fortress" but the ability to visualize the code this way, dope.

god, I haven't played Dwarf Fortress in like 12 years I always died to the first monster every single time...they wouldn't come for like 20 hours or something crazy, but I STILL wasn't ever prepared

Heh good idea I tried something similar with an HTML canvas graph collapsing/expanding visual-node thing, but this looks more promising

It's probably just easier to store it in your brain, tbh.

Might be stupid or it might be one of those ideas that transform everything 🤔 I hope we will see 😀
