The butter shown is Trader Joe's Cultured Salted Butter at $4.99 for an 8.8 oz package. Average US retail price for a pound of stick butter is about $4 per BLS data. traderjoes.com/home/products/… fred.stlouisfed.org/series/APU0000…

Hey @AldiUK this letter you’ve sent my son is intimidating. You never mentioned to him that he was over paid, threatening him with debt recovery action and asking for immediate payment (on a date 2 weeks before you’ve even sent the letter) is awful. You made the mistake not him.

The Scottish Government must fight this tooth and nail, Scotland does not want or even need nuclear power, I’ll bet Andrew Bowies constituents don’t want a nuclear power station in their backyard, the arrogant boot licking house jock.
NEW: The Tories would cut the SNP Government's planning powers in order to impose new nuclear in Scotland, the shadow energy secretary has said MP Andrew Bowie said the party would 'legislate to ensure that Scotland can host new nuclear power generation'

This is an appalling & shameful article BELOW by @freedland in @guardian I am a Jewish Green I have read the motion he talks about carefully. It would absolutely NOT lead to expulsions for Jews attending synagogues. This is pure fabrication & fear-mongering The problem with Zionism is that it was based on the idea of “a land without people, for a people without land”. BUT the land was NOT without people. Millions & millions of Palestinians have been persecuted, ethnically cleansed & killed BECAUSE of Zionism Freedland basically IGNORES the Palestinians - the victims of Zionism theguardian.com/commentisfre…

It was a fully English empire and the slavery was fully organised by the English colonial state. English law applied in the English empire. Jamaica was conquered in 1655 while Scots were under English colonisation by Cromwell. Scots were brought in as servants like other colonised people. That's valid for all English Carribbean colonies. So no Scotland before 1707 (Scots were forbidden by law to participate in the English empire) and of course after 1707 Scotland was fully annexed by the English colonial state...So Scots were a fully colonised people. Like all colonised people, a small minority of Scots were used or participated in the English empire but Scotland as a nation could not. Its sovereignty had been suppressed and remains suppressed by the English colonial state. Scotland did not participate in any English empire or in any English slavery. That's a lie of the English colonial state.

When English nonentities like this pronounce on the future of my nation I am scunnered for me and my people. If you live in Scotland and think this is normal and acceptable, then I’m afraid you’re a colonised, provincial North Briton, not a Scot.
The secretary of state for Justice (an MP for Nottingham) rules out holding another Scottish independence referendum. He also says that voting on whether to be a member of the (European) Union is different to voting on whether to be a member of the union.

The strategy is to protect English businesses and let Scottish ones die so the English ones get their market share. Scotland has the oil, doesn't get the refineries and chemical plants. Scotland has the renewable energy, doesn't get the AI jobs. It's treated as a resource colony

These are vacuous, intellectually incoherent answers. Obviously if we can revisit one referendum we can revisit both. In any event if it’s a voluntary Union it’s a matter for the people of Scotland not the MP for Nottingham.

I have no shame in saying that I hadn’t given the word 'colony' in relation to Scotland a second thought beforeI was urged to read Doun Hauden - then my eyes opened. Then I dug into it more and 👀 at the correlations & there was no doubt. Once you see it, you can’t un see it.

Another Referendum on Brexit is quite legit. It’s a sensible approach. It’s balanced and it’s also very effective because the ones who advocated for Brexit have no argument in support of Brexit. But let’s not forget about Scottish independence Referendum - the public opinion also changed around Scottish Independence; the UK government needs to look at that as well; whether that’s after the second Brexit Referendum or before..
