NEW: @Hedera has contributed CLPR, the bridgeless Cross-Ledger Protocol developed by @Hashgraph, to Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust as a new lab. The protocol is designed to let assets and data move directly between blockchains without relying on bridges, which has been a common method for exploits. @GregoryLBell, Chief Investment Officer at Hashgraph, said on @_TalkingTokens, that removing that risk is what opens the door for liquidity to move freely across networks: "The Cross-Ledger Protocol, which we only just recently pushed into the Linux Foundation's codebase, is the interoperability solution between these environments that doesn't rely on a bridge, which is a fundamental risk factor. We've seen time and time again that bridges have been the points of hacks and thefts and a real black eye for the industry. When assets and liquidity can move freely from Hedera to HashSphere to Solana or Stellar or Ethereum or Besu, that is a world that is truly web3."
