Following our response yesterday, our team further looked into the claim of cancer and immunotherapy and spoke with the concerned officials at Chandan Hospital, Lucknow. Our team also got in touch with Milaap regarding the fundraiser and the medical document submitted in support of the request. Following our request, the document has now been made available on the fundraiser page. The document is a provisional estimate dated 06 June 2026 and mentions the diagnosis as T2DM, HTN, urosepsis, right PUJ calculus and reactive arthritis. There is no mention of cancer or immunotherapy. The hospital has confirmed that the patient is not a cancer patient, is not undergoing immunotherapy and is not currently admitted to the hospital, contrary to the claim made in the request. The patient is being treated on an OPD basis and is also receiving support under the CM Relief Fund. The hospital has clearly confirmed that there is no ongoing cancer treatment or immunotherapy for this patient. @milaapdotorg, this raises serious concerns about how this fundraiser was approved as a cancer/immunotherapy fundraiser. Medical fundraisers seeking substantial amounts in the name of cancer treatment require stringent verification.
