That Switzerland and France are red in this graph but the US is not shows that this is not a serious discussion. Switzerland's "universal healthcare" is roughly equivalent to ACA. France uses highly regulated private insurance w/ a Medicare style system for the very poor.

This map incorrectly excludes Israel, Taiwan, Norway and Denmark, all of which had universal healthcare in 2021. It also marks Ghana and Pakistan as universally covered despite significant gaps: Ghana's national insurance enrolled only 54% of its population that year.
