Capitalist USA right now is trillions in debt. But tell me all about how it’s not “real” capitalism because of your goofy fantasy

Fantasy has nothing to do with the distinction. Capitalism is based on private property, voluntary exchange, and individual rights. You're blaming capitalism for government policies that violate its fundamental principles: compulsory redistribution, subsidies, political favoritism, and trillions in debt to finance spending beyond its means. The real fantasy is imagining that the consequences of violating capitalist principles somehow discredit capitalism itself, while advocating giving the very government responsible even greater economic power.

It isn't capitalism that is causing the deficit and increasing the debt. It is because Congress has a spending problem.

The government is trillions in debt. Socialism proposes to give control of more of the economy to the government. Do you actually not see the problem?

The problem is really only that you believed the elites about what socialism is, brother. That’s all. Socialism isn’t some idea. And the framing of “more” or “less” power to the government doesn’t reflect the reality at all. It’s an abstraction. Even “the government” is an abstraction if you really think about it. There are concrete institutions serving concrete interests and purposes. If we get rid of all the labels, all the slogans, all the dogmas, etc., and just divide on fixing what’s wrong in a way that benefits society over all, that IS how us Communists define socialism anyway. And if we’re talking about something real, and not an abstract notion, then that’s what we’re talking about when we say “socialism,” you know? TLDR: for me, it’s always only about the real world

Tax revenue is outpaced by spending. Since when is government spending “capitalism?” If you burn more calories than you eat, you lose weight.

Government spending and capitalism are two totally different things. Our debt has nothing to do with capitalism. Our politicians have chosen to spend too much money. Because of capitalism this country is so rich we can borrow trillions. Our poor people are fat. Not starving.

You are watching the collapse of world dollar dominance and the value of the USD. You can't Communism your way out of broken unsound money. This is a currency and monetary policy problem, not a capitalism problem.

There’s more than enough tax money given to the government. It is too often wasted.

The trillions in debt is due to the socialism that you fought so hard to implement and fight so hard to protect. SNAP, SS, Medicare, Medicaid are 100% of our debt

Please refer to the highlighted part of the *definition* of capitalism to understand that trillions of dollars spent *by the government* is the direct opposite of capitalism by definition. Thank you for coming to my ted talk ◡̈
