Aaron Rodgers explains what happens during halftime and what they were thinking when Mike McCarthy didn’t come in at the half: “I don't think people realize what halftime is actually like. The coaches usually have a quick huddle in the back, and the players are mostly just talking among themselves about what happened in the first half. Guys are eating sandwiches and bananas, and there really isn't a whole lot going on. At least with this staff, halftime has been pretty straightforward. Then there's usually a rush to get back out there. Ange gives a quick 30-second message, I talk with Tom for about 30 seconds, and it's all a little disjointed. So there really wasn't much different at halftime. It was the same kind of controlled chaos. People just started saying, 'Hey, Mike didn't come in,' and then everyone was wondering what was going on and whether he was okay. Thankfully, he's fine. I mean, he's from Pittsburgh. He toughed it out.”
