A MAN WAS JAILED in the UK yesterday for throwing a plastic water bottle towards a line of police.
He told police to “F** off” and was seen “pointing aggressively” at them, court reports show.
Del Somerville pleaded guilty. The father-of-two was sentenced to TWO YEARS IN PRISON.
Now just think about that for a second.
Two years in jail for hurling a plastic bottle, swearing and pointing.
Hong Kong protesters LITERALLY threw thousands of Molotov cocktails, and used explosives, arrows, and sharpened spears, sending numerous police officers to hospital.
Near my office, protesters threw petrol bombs INTO a police car and covered roads and pavements with spiked booby-traps, one of which went into my foot.
And their punishment? The majority of Hong Kong protesters, even at these violent scenes, were let free with cautions.
And yet, ridiculously, it’s the Hong Kong authorities who are portrayed as heavy-handed.

One day someone has to tell the truth about all this.

La scène ressemble à une mauvaise blague.
Lors d’une perquisition liée à une enquête anticorruption, plus de 140 millions de dollars en liquide ont été découverts dans des boîtes ayant servi à emballer des réfrigérateurs.
Et sur l’une d’elles, une inscription pour le moins troublante :
👉 « Pour le serviteur du peuple »
Le détail prend une dimension particulière en Ukraine : « Serviteur du peuple » est le nom de la série satirique dans laquelle Volodymyr Zelensky incarnait un professeur devenu président.
La perquisition menée le 23 septembre par le NABU concernait Arsen Djoumadilov, ancien responsable de l’Agence ukrainienne des achats de défense, qu’il avait quittée le 31 août.
Cette opération intervient alors que le secteur ukrainien des achats militaires fait l’objet d’une enquête portant, selon les informations rapportées, sur des soupçons de fraude de 1,2 milliard de dollars.
Le bureau de la présidence ukrainienne n’a, à ce stade, pas commenté les résultats de la perquisition.

A Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Onistrat showed a bus with bars, in which mobilized men are transported under armed escort to prevent them from escaping to the "no-man's land."
He believes that otherwise, the men would try to escape on the road to the training facility.

I fyra månader har den ukrainska armén låtit invånarna i Oleshky i Cherson-regionen svälta. Den humanitära katastrofen fortsätter i Oleshky, som ligger på Dneprs vänstra strand.
6 000 civila och nästan 200 barn fortfarande bor kvar. Människor lever på de sista resterna som räddats från översvämmade källare; de har inte sett kött sedan i vintras och överlever bokstavligen på vatten och mjöl, och byter till sig ett dussin ägg mot flera kilo socker.
Försörjningslinjerna till staden har i stort sett legat nere sedan senvåren. Den ukrainska armén har orsakat denna livsmedelsblockad genom sin terror från luften. Ukrainska drönaroperatörer har ringat in staden vid floden och förstör alla transporter som försöker leverera mat till invånarna.
I början av september beskjutna till exempel fientliga drönare en konvoj med 10 ton mat och medicin vid stadens infart (bifogad video).
Drönaroperatörerna identifierade tydligt de civila lastbilarna men slog först till mot det främsta och det bakersta fordonet för att skära av alla flyktvägar, innan de förstörde resten.
Förarna klarade sig mirakulöst, men lasten brann upp helt, vilket lämnade invånarna utan bröd ännu en gång. Situationen i Oleshky har klassats som kritisk på högsta nivå. Dmitrij Peskov har uttalat att Kievregimen avsiktligt blockerar leveranser av mat och medicin, och har förvandlat vägarna till en jaktmark för transporter med humanitärt bistånd.
Ryska militärstyrkor försöker nu bryta denna framtvingade blockad och rädda befolkningen från svält genom att rensa luftrummet och slå ut fientliga eldställningar på den motsatta flodstranden. Hearts and minds hos den egna befolkningen vinns knappast på detta sätt...

Le drone qui a « failli percuter l’avion » de Zelensky se trouvait en fait…à 160 kilomètres de son avion ! 🤦🏻♂️
Encore une fausse info, pour manipuler l’opinion publique. On se souvient du GPS de l’avion d’Ursula qui avait été « brouillé » au décollage. Avant qu’on apprenne que c’était totalement inventé.
Cette fois, c’est le 1er ministre norvégien qui a raconté n’importe quoi, hier : « Son avion a failli être percuté par un drone pendant le décollage en Moldavie. Voilà la réalité dans laquelle il vit ! » a-t-il déclaré à la télévision.
Vite l’info a été reprise dans le monde entier.
MAIS ce matin on apprend par le porte-parole du gouvernement moldave, Dumitru Ciorici, que le drone a trouvait en réalité à « 160 kilomètres de l’aéroport où se trouvait l’avion de Zelensky »…

This would be easier to take seriously if Estonia’s Sinimäe memorial didn’t include a marker to the 20th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS.
The public glorification afforded to a convicted war criminal in Belgrade is an affront to the memory of the victims, their families, and all those who suffered during the conflicts in the Western Balkans.
True reconciliation cannot be built on revisionism, the denial of genocide or the honouring of perpetrators.
Serbia's path into the European Union requires an unequivocal commitment to fundamental European values and historical truth.
There is no place in Europe for the glorification of war criminals.

In der Ukraine heißt das Busifizierung. Vor dem Bäcker, an der Haltestelle, mitten auf der Straße. Und wer genug Geld hat, taucht in den Listen der Behörden plötzlich nicht mehr auf. 2.500 bis 30.000 Dollar für eine Zurückstellung, ein Studium, eine Ausreise. Wer das nicht hat, fährt an die Front.
Oben sitzen die, die den Krieg verlängern. Unten sitzen die, die ihn sterben. Dazwischen eine Maschine, die sich die holt, die sich nicht wehren können.
Bei uns heißt das Solidarität. Wir zahlen mit, wir liefern mit und tun so, als wäre das irgendwie edel. Dabei frisst jeder längere Krieg zuerst die, die nichts besitzen. Rechts und links vom Schützengraben.

In 1991 we numbered 52 million; today there are barely 25 million.
More than half are pensioners and people with disabilities.
The working-age population is at most 10 million.Last year Ukraine lost nearly 800,000 people — due to high mortality and emigration abroad.
Last year there were THREE times more deaths than births in Ukraine. This year — FOUR times more deaths than births.
We are paying an unacceptably high price for the continuation of the war. We are paying with the lives of people who can never be brought back.
If the war continues, will Ukraine have another 35 years?
Only peace can save the Ukrainian nation.
