Black New Orleans Police officers joined in the looting. Their default settings kicked in. A Times-Picayune reporter saw a New Orleans officer load a cart with a computer and a 27-inch television. An MSNBC crew filmed officers in the aisles with shoes and clothes; one officer told the reporter she was ‘looking for looters.’ The officers were all black women. Olivia Fontenot, Vera Polite, Debra Prosper, and Kenyatta Phillips. It was chaos. The black community was loving every second of it. This was heaven to them. There were more than 2,600 burglary reports. Then these same opportunistic assholes that looted, committed mass violence, etc. got in front of news cameras and blamed Bush.
