the Dodgers care about being the best and winning as much as possible. the Yankees used to be like that. George wasn’t a perfect owner, but he CARED and he longed for the Yankees to be the greatest, did what it took to get the best players here. That’s why it’s hard to watch what they’ve become under his son. He doesn’t have to be his father, but just show you really care about the team instead of the luxury tax and salary caps. Yankees fans are the best in the world, and we deserve at least that. We’ve won nothing in the 15 years since George died. And his son is fine with allowing his father’s beloved franchise become the joke of MLB. The once great Yankees… they are now called the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The 2025 Wild Card Series set records for most-watched series and most-watched game under the current format. This year also featured significant increases in younger viewers and the most-watched Wild Card game ever in Japan. #Postseason

When Lou Piniella joined the Yankees in 1974 George Steinbrenner said to cut his hair it was too long.
If you don't know the Yankees have a policy on no beards or long hair.
Lou said this...
"Our Lord Jesus Christ was the greatest person who ever lived and he had long hair"
Steinbrenner then took him across the street to a swimming pool down in Florida and said,
"If you can walk across that water, you can wear your hair any way you want to"
