The niceties and the protocols went out the window with the "me generation."
(Another tragic byproduct of the self-esteem movement.)
So many of my daily frustrations are about lack of etiquette and protocol. We used to have these. Simple commonly shared rules about communication, standing in line, moving in crowded spaces.
All gone now. We have no shared rules. People pretend they don't remember them, or they pretend they don't matter.
So, so much discord, strife, confusion, and hard feelings come down to this. We just refuse to adhere to common civilization rules.

A Golden Retriever was found badly injured after being abandoned by its former owner. Thankfully, a kind-hearted person took the dog home, cared for it, and made sure it received the medical treatment it needed.
After a long road to recovery, the dog gradually regained its strength, became healthy and happy again, and returned to being the loving companion it was meant to be. 🐕❤️
