An unambiguous case of consensual sex. The aftermath of the Cornell group sex episode is a peerless example of the hypocrisy of the feminist movement, which proclaims the oppressiveness of any remaining traces the chivalric code. Females deliberately drink themselves blotto in order to lower their sexual inhibitions, voluntarily participate in sex, and then, after the regrets set in, deny their agency and put exclusive responsibility for their drunken encounter on their male partner, on the grounds that they are helpless to take care of themselves. I've written about the campus rape myth in @CityJournal: city-journal.org/article/the… From my interview on @realDailyWire's Wired in Live with @cabot_phillips ⬇️

I'm sure you're right. But even if it was a case that can't be prosecuted, the boys allowed the girl to be degraded, even if it was consensual on the girl's part, and that's on the boys, I'm afraid.

"Allowed her"? Again, she either has agency or she doesn't. She apparently chose to engage in the encounter, the young men simply consented to her wishes. The immorality is shared among all participants.

Your bottom line: men need to take and exercise responsibility for women, even if both are three sheets to the wind or even are short of that state, so that women can skip it if they so elect. Surely I miseducated my daughter when I told her she’s always to assume the mantle of responsibility and must ever shoulder accountability for her actions and decisions.

People are responsible for their actions, including this girl. But I'd expect better from the men. They shouldn't have allowed this girl to degrade herself, and by allowing it, they degraded themselves, I'm afraid.

I kind of think that is the point. You are expecting the boys to be responsible for their actions when the girl is some how not responsible for hers. A bunch of kids behaving badly but the blame falls along gender lines again

No, the girl is, was, responsible for her actions. But I do expect better than this from men.

No and no. The primary responsibility for not participating in a drunken, drug-fueled orgy rests on her. Girls can't have it both ways. We can't be empowered women with control over our own bodies AND be helpless victims of teh Patriarchy. They didn't pull her off the street and inject her with intoxicants against her will. She made several choices before the incident that put her exactly in the path of that situation. She deliberately impaired herself multiple times so that she could have uninhibited sex. Then afterwards she began to feel ashamed because of what people said. So she cried "rape" to absolve herself of playing the harlot. Normal women are not emotionally capable of engaging in casual sex without feeling like garbage afterward. We're just not wired that way. She did this to herself. The boys also behaved shamefully but not criminally. Maybe we can establish that if you show up to a frat party already wasted, and you continue to ingest intoxicants, you're not going to like what happens next. So don't show up in the first place. Easy peasy.

I agree with all you say. But I think men should look out for women, actually. Because that's how men should behave.

It's always on the boys, isn't it? I get a kick out of feminist women. All are boss babes until they make a bad decision and then it is always somebody else's fault. If a woman can't keep her pants on after a few drinks maybe she shouldn't drink.

I agree but it’s not a crime. The boys grow up seeing group sex on their screens. Some girls do like it. Is it right and moral by the boys or the girls? No. Is it against the law? No. Is it happening with out someone claiming rape virtually everyday? Yes

Boys were cads. Girl was acting as a slut. All deserve shame. She gets no free pass. SHE WENT TO THEM to get what she thought she wanted at the time. The book of Proverbs would be better curicula for them than the mandatory "safety training" the college gave them all.

How about a woman who convinced some young men to degrade themselves? Just as valid an interpretation.

All the parties were bad. Unless new evidence emerges, no one should go to jail, but I think men should look out for women, which men should do for their wife and daughters and more generally. The sluttishness of the girl is, of course, on her, but that's no excuse morally for the boys who didn't look out for her.

The "boys" didn't allow the "girl" to do anything. She didn't require their permissions...btw, every damm one of them is an adult.

She played a HUGE role in degrading herself, it’s not a secret that guys will lose respect for a female that agrees to a gang bang. You can argue that the guys didn’t treat her as they should have but in her own words she said when she said no they respected her wish.

Every sane person agrees everyone involved was a scumbag. The question now is can the men be prosecuted by contorting the laws and the facts because of the public outrage

Idiot leftist. It's always men's fault. Always. They "allowed" her to be degraded. She didn't do that to herself. The men were responsible to protect her. The only way I'll accept that argument is when you agree to repeal the 19th, since non-agents shouldn't have the franchise.
