Set in 2084, I reimagined REDTHREAD as MOTHER, a self-evolving intelligence designed to preserve and restore damaged human memories. Mia, a woman in her twenties and the world’s youngest Alzheimer’s patient, develops a Memory Knot unlike anything MOTHER has encountered before.

At the heart of the film is a question: If remembering meant recovering not only love, but pain as well, would we still choose to remember? Technology evolves. Human connection deepens. That is the future I chose to imagine.

Over the past months, I’ve been expanding the REDTHREAD universe, building its world, characters, visual systems, and cinematic language. Along the way came meaningful milestones, new collaborations, and a major leap forward with 528Lab.

Gm! ✨ Finally entering the final moments of my PhD thesis editing. It feels good knowing this journey is finally at its endpoint. It was not easy at all. I went through a lot of changes, but it made me a better person. It made me see how much love, life, and value there is in the work we do, whether big or small. It made me see that my wrongs, judgements, and assumptions were just layers of fear mixed with self-doubt. We are all just little stars in a great unknown. I am happy I get to be an artist, researching my cultural heritage, and sharing these memories with all of you.

For the past 5 years AI directing has started to change that equation for me on a global stage. Read the full interview: voyagela.com/interview/life-… It allows me to move between directing, visual development, previs, and production in ways that were previously separated across different stages of a project. That shift has fundamentally changed how I approach directing. My career began in animation and motion design before expanding into creative direction across advertising, entertainment, and technology. Over the years, I’ve worked with agencies, studios, and global brands. As the industry evolved, so did the way I approached directing. I became increasingly interested in what happens before production begins: how to define the vision, align the right people and technology around it, and create new ways for teams to move from an idea to something real. In 2023 through 528 LAB, that AI experimentation became a real-world client creative practice since, working at the intersection of AI, emerging technology, cinematic storytelling, and production. Today, I’m continuing to explore where that approach can go... Not only through commercial and immersive work, but through my own original filmmaking. My latest short film, Zero Gravity, grew out of that evolution, bringing together directing, AI, cinematic storytelling, and a more personal story. Recently, I had the opportunity to reflect on that journey and where I’m headed next in a new interview with VoyageLA. Looking forward to connecting with working with others exploring where storytelling, technology, and creative direction are going next.
