The Pentagon is treating a rash of freezer malfunctions that affected refrigeration and freezer units at commissaries at several U.S. military bases in August as a suspected cyberattack, according to four officials familiar with the matter who spoke to Reuters. The Pentagon said a Cyber Command unit is “working in close coordination with interagency and law enforcement partners” in the ongoing investigation. At least six on base commissaries were affected in late August, per Reuters’ review of base social media posts. In at least one case, the cooling units’ temperatures were raised overnight, resulting in spoiled food. Fort Huachuca, Arizona, posted that its freezer “went into defrost mode where it heated up all the food.” One official said investigators have been in touch with French counterparts about a similar attack that hit more than 350 French supermarkets earlier this month. incredible crosswalk news: after months of Bass ghosting People’s Vision Zero after this December meeting, Katy Yaroslavsky just passed a motion to instruct departments to formally study a DIY program. Many other cities have done this, and can’t wait to see it here.
Jonny and I just had a meeting in City Hall with LADOT/mayor staffers! (Bass even showed up too) We’re happy that they are actually engaging/working on something with us. Hoping to share concrete news in Jan

The U.S. is deploying at least one Patriot system and other equipment to Israeli bases.
#USAF United States Air Force - Iran War 2026 Operation Epic Fury 29 October - 1125z Movements primarily from Biggs Army Airfield continue this morning. Three C-17s are en route to/have arrived at Ovda Air Base in Israel, while two more are in-progress - this brings the total to 8 flights over three days. Other recorded movements this morning aren't particularly noteworthy. It will take a few of these posts to work out the trends again. @MATA_osint @DefenceGeek @sipjack177 @TheIntelFrog @Andyyyyrrrr @vcdgf555 @sentdefender @Osinttechnical @Faytuks @Andyyyyrrrr

good thing i'm learning to build a community solar microgrid
BREAKING: The Pentagon is preparing for a major war that could CRIPPLE America’s power grid, collapse supply chains, and disrupt critical infrastructure on U.S. soil, developing plans to keep military bases operational for 90 DAYS without outside assistance. The initiative, called FORTRESS, includes backup power, fuel reserves, and preparations to convert civilian factories into wartime production facilities.

only discreet parts of LA favor Karen Bass. Need to see the south portion
USC's @christiangrose came out with a poll today in #CA34 and one interesting datapoint was the LA Mayor's race. He shows @nithyavraman leading @KarenBassLA 54/28, and after a push of undecideds, it goes to 61/33. Raman winning in her own backyard isn't really noteworthy. She should be ahead here. But the real kicker is comparing these numbers to the actual mayoral primary results in the overlap of CA34 using my tool at politicaldata.vote/contest/c… That shows the mayoral vote in June in CA34 was Raman 38, Bass 30. Let you all do that math... but it is ominous.

i assume some know-how for this surgery comes from asian countries w monolids. bleph surgery changes the proportion of your eyeball and where the lid rests on it. non asian women with hooded eyelids do have a unique look, and it is beautiful

Casa Juriquilla; Estudio Mero.

⚠️ Record-setting King Tide in Newport Beach today, the highest ever. El Niño's Kelvin wave has the sea water running up to 22 inches above predictions, and with this king tide stacked on top, harbor water is reaching the front doors of bayfront homes. #orangcounty #breaking
The Balboa Ferry is closed to vehicles because of how high it is above the ramp. #newportbeach #kingtide #OrangeCounty

Hotel Arcadia was a luxury resort in Santa Monica from 1886 to 1909. Besides being the site where a drunken Col. Griffith (of Griffith Park fame) shot his wife, it sported a roller coaster that whisked guests right to the beach. 117 years later, that's still an awesome hook.

tis true. some of my favorite neighborhoods. alot of nithya signs. i lived in commie corridors in NY & LA 🥹
There's been talk of New York's "commie corridor," but Los Angeles has one too. It's the areas wrapped around Glendale. • East Hollywood • Edendale (south Los Feliz, Silver Lake and Echo Park) • Northeast Los Angeles (Glassell Park, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, etc.)
