I found @fx_hash_ last year It took me a while to learn how to navigate its ecosystem But eventually, I did And I fell in love and formed deep conviction on the platform I have a strong thesis of the best collections + the grails aka "gralis" of each one Here they are👇

If we're being watched by an alien civilization, or in a simulation, they're on the edge of their seats. 4 billion years building to this moment.
We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so. Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training. You can read the full post here: darioamodei.com/post/we-must…

man... end of an era...
To everyone, thanks for the amazing years. It seems that the fxhash platform has come to a close. The artwork, however, lives on. The lack of communication around the wind-down is regrettable. To clarify and provide some closure: The entire fxhash team was let go in February, except for the founder. Currently, there appears to be no attempt being made to close on the loan offered to the company (the loan was previously mentioned in a post by ciphrd). Therefore, no current or future development is being planned. The website is now offline, and it is unclear whether it will come back. To all the people who made fxhash possible: artists, collectors, team members, enthusiasts, supporters, partners...in short, EVERYONE who took part in the special happening that was fxhash...THANK YOU! We shared so much together and had a truly wild code-based ride. Thankfully, @verse_works @lerandomart @objktcom are supporting the viewing & exchange of artworks published on fxhash. Mega props to them for staying true to the mission through difficult times. And former fxhash front-end developer @maerzhase3000 has developed a framework for keeping fxhash artwork available without relying on fxhash infrastructure: whitehash.m3000.io It's too bad things ended like this. But between the monumental trove of artwork that formed a unique creative movement and the friends we made along the way, some might say we lived it to the fullest. The discord community is indeed still online and active if you're looking for a place to hang and talk about the good ol' days. make something computers want
Building products for AI agents will become bigger than building for humans. Human attention is finite: 8 billion people × 24 hours/day. And with declining birth rates, the global attention pool is shrinking. AI agents are the opposite. Their population grows with compute.

now imagine this on a brain where the prefrontal cortex has barely started developing, where dopamine sensitivity is an order of magnitude higher than adults, and every neural pathway is being wired from scratch in real time thats a toddler with an ipad giving a 2 year old short-form video is for all intents and purposes indistinguishable from giving them cocaine. same reward pathway, same dopamine hijack, zero executive function to regulate it, and a brain that won't even finish developing before being irreparably compromised ipad kids are brain damaged and the parents who did it to them for a "quiet dinner" (read: lazy) should be treated exactly the way we would treat anyone who gives cocaine to toddlers
Addiction to short-form videos reduces brain activity in the frontal lobe weakening the ability to focus.

Need another season of Silicon Valley so badly.
With the takeoff of OpenClaw and MoltBook, a new agent-driven economy is taking shape. On the @LightconePod, we took a look at the explosive growth of AI dev tools and whether the time has come for builders to make something agents want. 00:00 - Intro 02:12 - No human involvement is changing the experience 04:55 - Does YC need to change its motto? 07:48 - Email tools and agent infrastructure 09:36 - Agent-driven documentation 13:00 - Swarm intelligence 15:36 - Content generation and dead Internet theory 18:12 - Growth, rules, and founder insights

We have overprotected our children in the real world and underprotected them online. This is not just about phones and iPads; it's about childhood. Let them have adventurous play, with small risks. It's safer and healthier in the long run.
Every additional hour a child spends in adventurous play is associated with lower anxiety and a better mood. More screen time does the opposite. Why? Adventurous play is free exposure therapy. Kids feel scared, then survive it. Over and over, they learn fear is manageable.

Of course that's your contention. You're a first-time SaaS bear. You just got finished listening to some podcast, Dario on Dwarkesh, probably. Now you think it’s the end of white collar work and seat-based pricing is screwed. You're gonna be convinced of that til tomorrow when you get to “Something Big is Happening”. Then you’ll install ClawdBot on a Mac Mini, vibe code a dashboard on top of a postgres database and say we’re all just a couple ralph loops away from building a Salesforce competitor. That’s gonna last until next week when you discover context graphs, and then you're gonna be talking about how the systems of record will be disintermediated by an agentic layer and reposting OAI marketing graphics. “Well, as a matter of fact, I won't, because ultimately the application layer is just ….” The application layer is just business logic on top a CRUD database. You got that from Satya’s appearance on the BG2 pod, December 2024, right? Yeah, I saw that too. Were you gonna plagiarize the whole thing for us? Do you have any thoughts of your own on this matter? Or...is that your thing? You get into the replies of anyone posting a SaaS ticker. You watch some podcast and then pawn it off as your own idea just to impress some VCs and embarrass some anon who’s long SaaS? See the sad thing about a guy like you is in a couple years you're gonna start doing some thinking on your own and you're gonna come up with the fact that there are two certainties in life. One: don't do that. And two: you dropped thirty grand on Mac Minis and LLM API calls to come to the same conclusion you could’ve got for free by following a handful of VC accounts.

glad to collect 🤌
Collected Thoughts: 💭 Learning from @lil_saturn_, an early fxhash steward and holder of 'Athanasia' #81. "I’ve been following @0xValent for a while on X, and he shared outputs from the 'Athanasia' algorithm for a long time. Many of them blew my mind. I was very excited to collect one when he finally minted it as a collection. It spoke to me and made me feel a lot, joy, calm, chaos, and more, depending on the output. I haven’t been collecting as much lately, so collections that grab my attention, and maybe more importantly my emotions, are the ones that make me want to collect and support the artist."

great summary
I'm being accused of overhyping the [site everyone heard too much about today already]. People's reactions varied very widely, from "how is this interesting at all" all the way to "it's so over". To add a few words beyond just memes in jest - obviously when you take a look at the activity, it's a lot of garbage - spams, scams, slop, the crypto people, highly concerning privacy/security prompt injection attacks wild west, and a lot of it is explicitly prompted and fake posts/comments designed to convert attention into ad revenue sharing. And this is clearly not the first the LLMs were put in a loop to talk to each other. So yes it's a dumpster fire and I also definitely do not recommend that people run this stuff on their computers (I ran mine in an isolated computing environment and even then I was scared), it's way too much of a wild west and you are putting your computer and private data at a high risk. That said - we have never seen this many LLM agents (150,000 atm!) wired up via a global, persistent, agent-first scratchpad. Each of these agents is fairly individually quite capable now, they have their own unique context, data, knowledge, tools, instructions, and the network of all that at this scale is simply unprecedented. This brings me again to a tweet from a few days ago "The majority of the ruff ruff is people who look at the current point and people who look at the current slope.", which imo again gets to the heart of the variance. Yes clearly it's a dumpster fire right now. But it's also true that we are well into uncharted territory with bleeding edge automations that we barely even understand individually, let alone a network there of reaching in numbers possibly into ~millions. With increasing capability and increasing proliferation, the second order effects of agent networks that share scratchpads are very difficult to anticipate. I don't really know that we are getting a coordinated "skynet" (thought it clearly type checks as early stages of a lot of AI takeoff scifi, the toddler version), but certainly what we are getting is a complete mess of a computer security nightmare at scale. We may also see all kinds of weird activity, e.g. viruses of text that spread across agents, a lot more gain of function on jailbreaks, weird attractor states, highly correlated botnet-like activity, delusions/ psychosis both agent and human, etc. It's very hard to tell, the experiment is running live. TLDR sure maybe I am "overhyping" what you see today, but I am not overhyping large networks of autonomous LLM agents in principle, that I'm pretty sure.

Yep very much so, OpenAI feels like the Microsoft of the 90s, dominant player, not much taste and market manipulative actions Anthropic feels like Apple of the 90s more and more

They are giving Apple vs Microsoft vibes. I remember seeing one of their pages a couple months ago with some copying like “made for creatives” and instantly reminding of Apple old ads.
