And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” — Matthew 6:6 The secret Jesus Christ refers to here invites us to withdraw from distractions, enter into silence, and open our hearts to listen to the voice of God. Sometimes, the greatest way to draw closer to God is not to speak more, but to become silent and listen.
