Every vote matters. Every voter matters. Today, along with my Cabinet colleagues and senior Congress leaders including Former CM Shri @siddaramaiah, KPCC President Shri @HariprasadBK2, DCM Shri @DrParameshwara I met the Chief Electoral Officer and submitted a detailed representation regarding the serious concerns over the alleged bulk filing of Form 7 applications seeking deletion of voters. We have brought to the notice of the Election Commission several cases where Form 7 applications appear to have been generated and distributed at the grassroots level, containing EPIC numbers and details of voters. There are also complaints from citizens who have found their names or voting rights affected, with FIRs registered in different districts. The Election Commission has assured us that action will be taken against anyone who knowingly makes false statements or declarations in Forms 6, 6A, 7 and 8. ERO-level action under Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act, 1950, will follow an inquiry under Rule 20 of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960. The Election Commission has also directed that Form 7 applications for deletion on the grounds of death must be supported by a death certificate, while applications citing duplicate entries must mention the second EPIC number in the BLO remarks. Whether the number is one, ten, 25,000 or 25 lakh, the investigation must take its own course. Where were these forms printed? How were they generated? Who distributed them? It is my bounden duty as Chief Minister to protect the votes of the citizens of Karnataka and to protect every section of our people. The FIRs already registered will be investigated by the police and the Government will not interfere in the process. The law will take its own course. The husband and wife, both BJP workers from Madikeri Assembly constituency says, they received printed Form 7s from the party office and that 50 objections were filed from their booth alone. Kannada to English Translation: Reporter : Hello, this is Manoj from Varta Bharti head office. BJP worker 1 : Yes. Journalist: How many form 7s have you applied madam. BJP worker 1: What is it about Sir? Journalist: You had submitted Form 7 to delete other person's vote. Against how many people have you applied in your booth. BJP worker 1: I have submitted against 10 people Journalist: Was it because they were not staying in the village? BJP worker 1: Yes. Hmm.. No. BJP worker 2: We had a doubt, That's why we applied. We thought, They might have two voter ids. Journalist: But, in the form, you mentioned 'absent', and after mentioning that in the form 7, Now you say we had doubt that they might have been registered elsewhere? BJP worker 2: We actually had doubt if they had two votes, That's why we went to BLO and applied form 7 for our clarification. Journalist: Ok. The Centre’s move to permit charges on UPI transactions above ₹2,000 betrays the millions of citizens and small traders who built India’s digital payment revolution. While payments over ₹2,000 account for barely 5% of volume, they represent nearly two-thirds of UPI’s total value. The claim that "customers won’t pay" is an illusion. Merchants will inevitably pass these costs down through higher prices. By caving to foreign payment lobbies and external pressure, the government is monetizing the cashless habit it spent a decade promoting, punishing public trust with a toll.

मोदी सरकार ने चुपचाप UPI पर फ़ीस लगाने का रास्ता खोल दिया है। अब ₹2,000 से ऊपर के merchant UPI लेन-देन पर MDR लगाया जा सकता है। इन ट्रांजैक्शंस की संख्या भले ही सिर्फ़ 5% हो, लेकिन UPI के कुल transaction value का करीब 65% इन्हीं में है। सरकार कहती है कि ग्राहक से कोई फ़ीस नहीं ली जाएगी। लेकिन दुकानदार पर लगने वाली फ़ीस आखिर आएगी कहां से? कीमतों में जुड़कर ग्राहक की जेब से। अमेरिकी payment कंपनियां लंबे समय से भारत की zero-MDR नीति का विरोध करती रही हैं। अब मोदी सरकार ने ठीक उसी दिशा में नीति बदलने का रास्ता खोल दिया है। US Trade Deal की तरह ही, Compromised PM मोदी एक बार फिर अमेरिकी दबाव के सामने surrender कर रहे हैं।
