A WORD TO THE DONORS AND SUPPORTERS OF TPUSA Charlie Kirk got onstage because he had something to say. He debated difficult questions, challenged people’s assumptions, defended his ideas under pressure, and gave audiences something substantial to think about—even when they disagreed with him. Erika is simply not capable of doing what Charlie did. She is not a strong speaker. Her thoughts rarely develop into a clear statement, never mind an argument—which perhaps explains why she never debates. Her delivery feels painfully affected, and her supposed “words of wisdom” are so relentlessly trite that I am genuinely baffled as to why TPUSA continues putting someone so intellectually unimpressive in front of large audiences. Charlie engaged with the world. Erika appears lost in her own, apparently believing that hackneyed religious platitudes, rambling word salads, and inconsequential personal recollections somehow honor his legacy. They do not. They merely expose how far the organization has drifted from what made Charlie powerful: public debate. TPUSA is rapidly becoming a liability to the conservative Right. I need not list all the painfully obvious reasons why. Under its present leadership, it is losing credibility, purpose, and intellectual seriousness. And @BlakeSNeff’s use of the word “COONspiracy” should, at the very least, have gotten him immediately fired. Donors and supporters should be asking why conduct like that is tolerated—and what, precisely, they are still funding. Charlie was a good man, and a great man in the making.
