Rather than engaging in more fruitless negotiations, the U.S. should now focus on a land blockade alongside its naval and air blockades. The goal: seal Iran from the international trade the regime depends on for its survival. My latest with @FDD @miadmaleki

Terrible to see all these ambassadors to the UN walk out on Israel. Not nearly as many walked out on Iran yesterday — even after they machine gunned 40,000 of their own people.

Colombia has severed diplomatic relations with Iran and designated the IRGC as a terrorist organization following Peru’s decision earlier this month to cut ties with Tehran. Across Latin America, the trend is accelerating: Argentina has designated the IRGC and Quds Force, while Argentina, Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras and Paraguay have designated Hezbollah. The Iran regime and its proxies are facing a more hostile operating environment in the Western Hemisphere.

Slow Horses should be in the top 5 not #62. The Bureau should be #1 not #54. Fauda isn’t even on the list (not a surprise since the list is from the NYT).
The New York Times’ final list of the 100 Best TV Shows of the 21st Century is now complete. What do you make of the final ranking? Which placements surprised you the most?

Here’s the bottom line: America is winning. Billions of barrels of non-Iranian crude are flowing through Hormuz. The IRGC has lost control of the Strait. The regime’s revenues are crippled, its aircraft grounded, and its economy collapsing. Its nuclear and missile programs are severely degraded. Its terror proxies have never been weaker. Most Iranians despise the regime — and will be back on the streets. Prepare a plan for Operation People’s Fury — and cripple the regime for good.

The UAE has suspended all Iranian-airline flights. Oman and Iraq stopped accepting them. Turkey halted Mahan Air. Turkmenistan denied overflight to a Tehran–Dushanbe flight, forcing it back. Since the Sept 23 @SecScottBessent deadline, the region is closing to Iran's carriers. China however has not. Mahan Air landed in Guangzhou on Sept 23 and still schedules Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. But here is the thing, a plane cannot land without fuel, handling and a counter. At Mahan's Chinese airports those services run through a few identifiable companies. Several are large firms; a handful of Iranian flights a week is not worth their far larger non-Iran business and their banks should be asking questions. Here are the ones that are exposed to these sanctions: (China Aviation Oil Supply): fuel at Beijing Capital and Tianjin 深圳承远航空油料有限公司 (Shenzhen Chengyuan): sole fuel supplier at Shenzhen 上海浦东国际机场航空油料有限责任公司 (Pudong Aviation Fuel): fuel at Shanghai Pudong 华南蓝天航空油料有限公司 (South China Bluesky): fueling at Guangzhou Baiyun 广州白云国际机场地勤服务有限公司 (Baiyun Ground Handling) and 上海国际机场地面服务有限公司 (Shanghai International Airport Services): ramp and passenger handling @USTreasury already designated Mahan's Shanghai agents (上海翼上, 上海马汉国际旅行社) in July. Any of the above still fueling or handling Mahan today is exposed to the same secondary sanctions that just emptied Dubai of Iranian aircraft.

Azerbaijan deserves recognition for the constructive role it is playing in increasing pressure on the Islamic Republic of Iran. The latest significant step: Azerbaijan suspended flights operated by Iranian airlines into the country, effective September 22, as new U.S. sanctions target Iran’s aviation sector. Important to continue to intensify the isolation of the regime. reuters.com/world/middle-eas…

The collapse in public support for Israel could trigger a financial and economic war against the Jewish state. The architecture for it is already taking shape. My latest: fdd.org/analysis/2026/09/06/…

The U.S. military is winning the Battle of Hormuz.
About 40 of the vessels that transited the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday coordinated with the US military for protection, Reuters quoted a US official as saying. Around 60 commercial vessels passed through the strait that day, carrying the highest daily volume of crude oil since early July, according to the report.

Exactly right. The Islamic Republic is weaker than at any point in its 47-year history. @CENTCOM Admiral Cooper, U.S. forces, and the IDF have inflicted massive damage on the regime. Now is the time for Operation People’s Fury—to support the Iranian people and further weaken the regime.
I am grateful for @CENTCOM Admiral Cooper’s briefing for senators yesterday morning regarding operations in Iran. Let’s not kid ourselves: we are winning. Iran is not getting a nuclear weapon. Oil is moving through the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian Navy is at the bottom of the ocean where it belongs. Their economy is in free fall, and their leaders are desperate.   Our warfighters have proven that the American military is the most lethal fighting force in the history of the world. We can and should use that strength to bring this conflict to a decisive end on America’s terms.
