Mexican Illegals Charged in Drunk Driving Crash That Killed Man, Injured His 3-Year-Old Daughter in Texas Federal authorities are seeking custody of two illegal aliens — including one who may have snuck across the Trump administration’s tight border — charged in a deadly drunk-driving collision in Texas. The tragedy unfolded at around 7 p.m. on Sept. 12 in Comal County. The New Braunfels Police Department (NBPD) was called to the scene of a head-on collision involving a pickup truck and sedan. First responders discovered the driver of the sedan, identified as 27-year-old Alex “Bubba” Nunez, had died in the crash. His 3-year-old daughter was hospitalized with serious injuries but is expected to recover. The driver of the pickup, identified as 25-year old Rafael Alejandro Arreguin-Ramirez, showed signs of alcohol impairment and was subsequently charged with Intoxication Manslaughter and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon following a blood draw. “The passenger of the pickup truck, 23-year old Alejandro Aguillen-Acosta from Mexico, fled the scene of the accident on foot into a nearby neighborhood. Officers were able to quickly locate the man hiding in a garage,” NBPD explained in a statement. Aguillen-Acosta was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention and Criminal Trespass of a Habitation. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has now confirmed that both suspects are citizens of Mexico who are in the U.S. illegally. Arreguin-Ramirez illegally entered the U.S. at an unknown location and date. Aguillen-Acosta was caught illegally entering Texas in March 2023 and accepted voluntary return. In January 2025, he illegally reentered the U.S. via New Mexico but was again deported. He illegally entered the U.S. for a third time at an unknown location and date. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged detainers against both men. “These two illegal aliens from Mexico have been charged with intoxicated manslaughter, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and evading arrest for their involvement in a fatal head-on collision in Texas that killed a man and injured a 3-year-old,” said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. “Alex Nunez should still be alive today because this tragedy was completely preventable. ICE has lodged detainers asking our partners in Texas to cooperate with us so that these criminals can be removed from our country after they face justice. My thoughts and prayers are with Alex Nunez’s family, as well as for the child’s speedy recovery.”

Suspect Charged in Brutal Mackinac Island Sex Attack Is a Mexican National A Mexican suspect is facing charges following a vicious sexual assault on Mackinac Island in Michigan last week, authorities have confirmed with Border Hawk. The shocking attack unfolded at around 2:15 a.m. on Sept. 16. A woman was walking alone in the vicinity of Main Street when she was ambushed by a male assailant.
