It's been a hard month for privacy and your right to use crypto. There's a bright spot. Two rules at Treasury that Coin Center has vehemently opposed over the last several years have been officially withdrawn. The "unhosted wallet rule" that would have made Coinbase and others collect information on people who are holding their own crypto is dead. The special measure for mixers rule that would have classified effectively every step you should take to secure your privacy when using crypto (like not reusing addresses) as a "primary money laundering risk" subject to enhanced surveillance at financial institutions is dead. This is good news and I'm happy that our work for several years to characterize these rules as bad policy and probably unconstistitutional has born fruit. That said, the underlying statutory authority to create new, similar bad rules remains. Our work is not done and won't be until we truly protect self-custody and legitimate privacy tools in law via Congress or the Courts. Thank you to all of those who have supported Coin Center's work, and thank you to those in Treasury who have come to understand why these rules were bad policy and should be abandoned. coincenter.org/treasury-just…

Project Eleven Launches Strongpoint for Post-Quantum Custody with Zcash Foundation as Initial Development Partner Zcash Foundation joins Project Eleven to shape institutional custody infrastructure for the post-quantum and AI era as more than $1 trillion in digital assets remain at risk of attack by sufficiently powerful quantum computers. Project Eleven, the post-quantum security company for digital assets, today introduced Strongpoint, its flagship custody platform built for navigating the transition to post-quantum cryptography. @ZcashFoundation joins Project Eleven as an initial development partner, helping shape Strongpoint’s institutional custody architecture. Strongpoint is designed to give institutions a consistent control layer for securing and managing digital assets as networks change the cryptographic standards underneath them. Rather than rebuilding key-management, transaction approval, and audit infrastructure for each new signature scheme or network migration, institutions can maintain a common set of security controls while the underlying cryptography evolves. “Institutional digital asset custody was built for a world where the cryptography underneath it rarely changed,” said Alex Pruden, CEO of Project Eleven. “Quantum computing is upending that model. If every network adopts a different solution, institutions could be forced to rebuild their security infrastructure again and again. Strongpoint is built around crypto-agility, so the cryptography can change without the infrastructure changing with it.” “Institutions holding shielded ZEC need custody infrastructure that respects Zcash’s privacy model today and can adapt as cryptographic standards change,” said Alex Bornstein, Executive Director of Zcash Foundation. “Project Eleven is building Strongpoint with the crypto-agility and technical foundation needed to support those requirements over time, helping strengthen custody infrastructure for the broader ecosystem.” Zcash Foundation Joins as an Initial Development Partner Zcash Foundation joins as an initial development partner for Strongpoint, bringing its expertise in privacy-preserving cryptography and protocol engineering to Strongpoint’s institutional custody architecture. Zcash’s privacy-preserving design introduces sophisticated key-management and transaction requirements, making it a valuable environment for developing custody infrastructure capable of supporting evolving cryptographic standards. The collaboration will help inform how Strongpoint handles network-specific requirements while maintaining a consistent institutional control framework across assets and cryptographic schemes. Post-Quantum Migrations Are Taking Different Paths The digital asset industry’s post-quantum transition is becoming a coordination challenge. Among the networks represented by the 20 largest assets in CoinGecko’s Layer 1 (L1) category by market capitalization, Project Eleven found that only 10 have published a network-specific technical proposal, roadmap or implementation path for migrating transaction or account authentication to post-quantum cryptography. Those approaches span at least six proposed post-quantum signature schemes and vary significantly in how they address account migration, key rotation and legacy-asset recovery. Even where technical roadmaps exist, operational readiness remains uneven, leaving institutions to navigate different standards and requirements across networks. For institutions operating across multiple networks, that fragmentation means accommodating different cryptographic standards and migration requirements without losing a consistent security model. Strongpoint is designed to provide that common operating layer while allowing the cryptography beneath it to change independently. Early Access and Deployment Project Eleven targets production deployment in Q4 2026 and is working with a limited group of development partners ahead of general availability. Additional development partners and supported networks will be announced. Institutions interested in early access can request more information at projecteleven.com/strongpoin…. Founded in 2024 by Alex Pruden and Conor Deegan, Project Eleven raised a $20 million Series A led by Castle Island Ventures in January 2026, bringing its total funding to $26 million. The company recently acquired Riva Labs, a specialized engineering firm with deep expertise in post-quantum signatures, wallet infrastructure and blockchain cryptography, expanding Project Eleven’s in-house research and protocol-engineering capabilities. Methodology: Project Eleven reviewed the 20 largest assets in CoinGecko’s Layer 1 (L1) category by market capitalization on September 25, 2026. A network was counted only where an official network organization, foundation, core development team or recognized protocol-improvement process had published a network-specific technical proposal, roadmap or implementation path for migrating transaction or account authentication to post-quantum cryptography. General research programs, statements of intent and post-quantum work that did not specify such a migration path were not counted. Draft technical proposals were included and do not imply network approval or adoption.

XPowerbanq.com vaults have the lowest risk.. no liquidity sharing, isolated markets, no sudden governance changes
🚨JUST IN: S&P Global has offically launched AAA-style risk scores for DeFi, as crypto lending vaults hit $10 BILLION. S&P Global Ratings' new "Vault Risk Assessment" will grade on-chain lending vaults, with "AAA(v)" as its lowest-risk score. Deposits in these vaults have jumped nearly 7x in two years, from $1.5 BILLION to $10 BILLION. The scores aren't credit ratings, but measure the risk of investors losing money in a vault.

THE BLOCK: The Winklevoss twins have filed an S-1 registration statement with the SEC, proposing a spot Zcash exchange-traded product that would list on Nasdaq under the ticker WINK. The ETF would hold zcash:native directly, with Gemini Trust Company serving as custodian, and would charge a 0.25% annual sponsor fee while covering ordinary operating expenses.

Pretty bullish on Zcash Shielded Assets (ZSA). You can already experiment with custom shielded assets on testnet, and ZIP 228 introduces a native design for shielded asset swaps through Swap Orders and Swap Bundles. Private tokens + private swaps feels like a pretty interesting foundation for DeFi on Zcash. Source: zips.z.cash/zip-0228

I was fired by Jason Desimone today without warning. No Slack message, no call, my access just disappeared. I was the one responsible for paying Amy Street for her work with Rove. Taking some time to reflect but am excited for the future!

The only appropriate mentality for running a company is irrational optimism and ruthless self-accountability. It sounds contradictory, but it is the only mental state I think you can productively exist in. "Everything will work out, and everything is my fault"

Zcash is now live on THORChain. This integration opens decentralized routes to ZEC across the assets already on the network.
The $ZEC pool is now live on THORChain. The network churned and every node is watching the Zcash chain. @Zcash now has a truly permissionless venue. Trading is the next step. Liquidity is shallow for now and will grow over time, so trade with caution in the early days.

BREAKING: 🇰🇷 South Korea unveils rules to bring its $5T+ stock market onchain, with Avalanche infrastructure The Financial Services Commission just published new rules allowing stocks, bonds and funds to be issued and circulated onchain beginning February 2027. At the center is the Korea Securities Depository (KSD), which the new rules explicitly place within the blockchain infrastructure supporting tokenized securities. KSD is already building infrastructure connectivity on Avalanche.

Hello 😊
YC and dropout culture have convinced us the ideal founder is 22, straight out of school, but the data tells a different story. Some interesting data: - An MIT study of 2.7 million US founders found that the average founder was 47 when starting a company that later exited through an acquisition or IPO. - The same study cited that the founders of the fastest-growing 0.1% of U.S. startups were 45 years old on average when they started their companies. - A 50-year-old founder was approximately twice as likely as a 30-year-old founder to produce an acquisition or IPO. - Founders with at least three years of relevant industry experience were twice as likely to build a top-0.1%-growth company as founders with none. So it seems that experience is one of the strongest advantages a founder can have. Two lessons here: 1. It's never too late to start 2. It might actually be TOO early to start; getting work experience is worth considering

Credit: #Avalanche which just rolled out a strikingly similar feature that NEAR is now implementing.
This new technical deep dive from the Near One team breaks down SPICE, Separation of Consensus and Execution. SPICE is a significant architectural upgrade for NEAR Protocol that decouples transaction ordering, data availability, and execution. Execution moves off the critical path of block production, so the chain can produce blocks at a high rate while execution and data availability run asynchronously. When SPICE launches, NEAR will have faster blocks, lower latency across near.com and NEAR Intents, and support for longer-running, more complex transactions. It also lays the groundwork for atomic execution across shards. blog.nearone.org/research/20…
