Try googling the term “civil disobedience” and the rich history of Jews using it to advance human rights Lizzy
How come so many of Mamdani’s close friends got arrested today, while Bibi enjoys a police escort through NYC 😂

This is why it’s hard to take some of the Hasan criticism seriously. A former mayor who colluded with the police to cover up the murder of a teenager should be so ostracized from public life that he shouldn’t be in a position to speak on what a non elected streamer is saying.
Now that he won’t stop talking, the folks who told us Hasan Piker is a serious voice who should be listened to ought to let us know which of these positions we’re supposed to take seriously: 1. That “pound for pound,” America is worse than al-Qaeda - a ridiculous statement on a normal day, but particularly vile the same week we’re reflecting on the loss of 3,000 Americans on the 25th anniversary of 9/11. 2. That Communist China’s repressive regime is the “model” for America. 3. That Mao was “a great man of history” while the collapse of the Soviet Union was "one of the greatest catastrophes of the 20th century." The great thing about America is that everyone is entitled to their opinions and free to express them, however dumb or immoral. That includes ‘Comrade’ Piker. The rest of us are just as free - obligated even - to call out this vile, hateful speech that only divides America. axios.com/2026/09/17/hasan-p…

Abdul is a masterclass on how to respond to these ridiculous bait questions
Abdul El-Sayed: "Weijia, with all due respect, this is the third time you've asked about a Twitch streamer in California ... their whole game is to make us fight culture wars so that we don't pay attention to the fact the president has made $2.2 billion ... I'm not all that interested in having a conversation about a Twitch streamer"

"My father Michael Massaroli...you do my dad's legacy and the legacy of all these victims no honor by using this tragedy to spread hate. We have seen a medley of people come up today, of all races, all religions, all creeds and this tragedy is just that, it's a tragedy. I've had to grow up and spend the past 25 years seeing people use it to hate on our Muslim brothers and sisters, to hate on people who don't look like them. That's wrong. That does no honor to the victims here...please stop." Full video here: youtube.com/live/Wkl0vAMmU0I…

Over 170 Jewish entertainment figures have signed an open letter defending Mark Ruffalo after Paramount accused him of fueling “antisemitic tropes.” Ruffalo spoke out against the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger and said the Ellison family was complicit in the genocide against Palestinians. Proud to have signed this letter and honored to be included!
Mark Ruffalo is being defended by more than 170 Jewish entertainment figures in a new open letter rejecting Paramount's claim that Ruffalo fueled “antisemitic tropes”: “The time is over for spurious charges of antisemitism to be trotted out, this time in the defense of war, oligarchy, and AI domination. That tired playbook has run its course. We stand proudly with Mark Ruffalo, and with all decent people who are bravely rising and speaking truth to power.” Supporters include Hannah Einbinder, Joel Coen, Todd Haynes, Ilana Glazer, Tony Kushner, Emma Seligman, Jane Schoenbrun and Wallace Shawn. The letter follows a heated week in which Ruffalo has been at the center of a growing confrontation over the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger. In a social media post on Aug. 21, the Marvel star attacked the deal over its potential consequences for Hollywood and accused the Ellison family of being complicit in the “genocide” against Palestinians, which he said “was built on an apartheid system of oppression powered by Oracle.” In the post, he highlighted Oracle’s ties to the Israeli military. “Pointing out the crucial connections between what is happening in Gaza and what is happening in Hollywood is the exact opposite of antisemitism. It is, for us, the very essence of Jewish ethical duty," reads the open letter defending Ruffalo. "According to a recent Washington Post poll, 61% of American Jews now agree that Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza; and four in ten even agree that these crimes amount to genocide. Do those attacking Mark Ruffalo as an antisemite seriously believe that all these American Jews are antisemites too? Or that we don’t see the connection between, on the one hand, the criminal impunities that have led the US and Israel into unending disaster and, on the other, the oligarchic powerplays of the Musks, Ellisons, Thiels and others who are working to dismantle our democracy?” wp.me/pc8uak-1lHGGN

Dolly’s legacy and generosity was unmatched, inc. her impact on HIV/AIDS and public health. From being a producer on the Oscar-winning documentary “Common Threads” (1989) to donating $1M to vaccine research during the COVID pandemic, her contributions undoubtedly saved lives.

The kite issue has been outrageous. Israeli state television had an item on terrorism kites. The state cabinet met to discuss the threat of kites. They are literally building consensus to kill playing children. All so that no child in Gaza can play or enjoy themselves. In Gaza, just trying to live is a crime for a child.
💢 “They were children playing with kites. They were just sitting there playing. They are killing children.” Israeli forces shot 10-year-old Palestinian girl Amal Abu Khater in the back, killing her instantly as she sat eating lunch inside her displaced family’s tent in western Khan Younis, southern Gaza, on Monday. Amal had just returned from memorizing the Quran and performing the Dhuhr prayer, her family told Drop Site. “There were people who felt safe, sitting in their tents. It’s supposed to be a safe area, and it is full of displaced people,” Amal’s relative Hassan Abu Khater told Drop Site’s Mohamed Ahmed. “What did she do to deserve to be killed? She was sitting and eating sweets... What sin did this little girl commit?” Amal’s grandmother, Samira Abu Khater said. Eight Palestinians, including two children, have been killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza since dawn Monday. “They fire indiscriminately,” Samira said. 🎥 Footage from Drop Site contributor Mohamed Ahmed.
