When the 9.9 magnitude earthquake alert happened, I was laying in bed FaceTiming my best friend. I honestly had no words… I was just bracing for my life to end and was completely silent under the covers in my PJs thinking about how unlucky I am. I’m glad we’re all safe! 😭💕

After weeks away, I was terrified I’d come back to a community that had moved on. I moved from the US to the EU and was almost completely offline from Aug 24 to Oct 2. The move was brutal: two lost apartments (one involving a scam that cost us thousands), a month in a tiny hotel with my husband and dogs, and the stress of finding a home that would take our corgis. My anxiety and depression hit an all-time high. I isolated myself - even from people I love - and focused on preparing for Curse Clash and finding housing. But while I was gone, my moderators kept our Discord alive with events, conversation, and so much care. When I returned, familiar names were there cheering me on, asking how I was, and listening to everything I’d been through. Friends raided in to tell me they missed me. You gave me time and space, then welcomed me home. Building this community and making these friendships are the greatest achievements of my VTuber career. To my friends, my incredible mods, and my chaotic, kind community: THANK YOU. 🩵 I feel whole again. I’ve got a lot in the works, and I can’t wait to give back to the people who keep inspiring me. 💪

I was just sitting alone eating at a Japanese restaurant, for dinner, minding my own business. For anyone that doesn’t know, I’m on a 6-week vacation in Japan. This is my first real vacation since 2019! Two Japanese men happened to be sitting next to me. All of a sudden, they started arguing, in Japanese, on whether I’m a cute monkey-human hybrid or a dog-human hybrid or both… 🧍🏻‍♀️ I kept looking over, and then at one point, one of them exclaimed: “Oh shit! Does she understand us?” 😱 “Nah, nah, nah, no way. Don’t change the subject, we need to decide this now!” At the end before leaving, I let them know that I could understand them… I just can’t speak that well because I’m out of practice. They profusely apologized and paid for my dinner. 💀 Anyway, I honestly thought it was hilarious, but now that I’m on my walk back to my Airbnb, I realize that I don’t know what conclusion they came to. And now I might never know???
