🇺🇸 A CIA executive pleaded guilty to stealing about $194M, and the FBI found 298 gold bars in his house.
David J. Rush, 49, of Ashburn, Virginia, held a top-secret clearance and a senior job.
Prosecutors say he lied his way into it, invented a fake secret program, and pulled the money.
About $145M went out by wire for luxury homes, watches, and at least 1 car. The gold cost the government about $46M.
A search in May also turned up about $2.1M in cash and €105,000.
He agreed to give up the bars, the properties, 30 watches, and 2 BMWs.
Sentencing is on January 28th, and the max is 20 years. The money he stole is comparable to 1 or 2 lifetimes of wasting 😳
