When you pair younger generations experiencing a literal reduction in executive functioning, attention span and working memory with an online economic model that rewards 15-second hyper-stimulating, chaotic clips, you get a perfect storm. The “brain rot” phenomenon is very real.

The brains of children & teens are in their most critical stages of executive function development. Introducing persistent microvascular clotting, neuroinflammation, blood-brain barrier disruption, and grey matter shrinkage during these foundational years is NOT benign. #COVID
